Not necessarily , but there are types among 'good' boys too . Each 'good' boy is unique by himself and has his own persona . Take for example Satish . Satish is a perfect gentleman but the turn on for him in a woman was spunk . He fell for Varsha's spunk , her boldness , her fiery temper . He never was turned on by Archu's quietness or shyness ..........he had many moments with her but the electric moments came only with Varsha barging in his office and firing him left rite and center . He is clearly the type who is turned on by a spirited woman ........he admires spirit in a woman , a teekhi mirchi .
As against that , for Manav , who too is a perfect gentleman at heart inspite of his rough profession , the turn on point is something not easily available within his own vortex............something diffrent from the noisy clamouring women of the chawl who fight like fisherwoman at the common tap , something totally diffrent from the rough and tough socialising at his garage . Manav's world is his chawl and garage..........both r rough , noisy worlds ..........and he has seen enough of spirited , spunky women fighting each other . For him , Archu's shyness and quiteness was refreshing . She didn't fit in anywhere .......neither in his garage nor his chawl . She was out of his league and he allowed himself that fantasy . Her charm for him lay in the fact that she was hatke from his rough world ..........and always , that alone will be a turn on . If she suddenly changes into an aggressive woman seducing him , he will be put off .
Besides , one has to remember that even the suhaag raat .........their first physical intimacy has not yet taken place . So if Archu suddenly turns seductress , it will be during their first physical intimacy . And somehow that doesn't jell with their characters or this plot upto now .
One can break ground by showing that Archu doesnt at a point , take crap from savita and effectively blocks her . She did silence her once when she created tamashas in Satish's office . for that it isnt necessary to change Archu's persona during the physical consummation of Manav and Archana . I think the thrill for the viewers always lay in wondering how this intimacy wud be as they r from two seperate worlds ...........he , a rough garage mechanic and she , a cultured , shy ladylike gal . He would treat her like a precious sculpture of glass during these intimate moments , and this was largely the expectation of viewers . Anything else would sorely disappoint them .
Btw.........the iffy teeth and sweaty shirts r his sex appeal . Straight teeth , and clean shirts wud destroy that . For some people , such teeth work just fine.Moushumi Chatterjee was one such actress who became a success due to her pretty face and iffy teeth . So was Shashi Kapoor . And so is our Manav !
