Manav has lost his respect when slapped by sulochana in front of everyone and given

This whole business of HOW ARCHU EVEN DARED TO DOUBT SWEETU MANAV has to be really studied by us very carefully as we r now analysing this like a PHD thesis .😆
Please remember that Manav loved Archana much much before Archana even knew him .
Manav had observed archana , her character , her physical beauty , her goodness , from close quarters unknown to her .
In effect we had the boy knowing every inch of the girl , but the girl not knowing that the boy even existed as such .
The day he surfaced suddenly in the brothel , remember the scene . After her initial shock and scare , we see Archana coming to her senses , and shrinking away from Manav in the taxi and asking him , how come he was there ? Naturally to her mind only guys who seek out whores appear in a brothel . We see Manav reassuring her that dont be scared Im not that what u think . But we dont see him giving her an adequate explanation for him being on the spot .
Yes he saves her dad and then the lies start ..........by his mother .
Once the marraige is done , and Archu is later sent to her in laws by sulochana we see Sulochana really giving the marraige a chance . She tells Archu to adjust there , to respect them .She fulfils ALL of Ssavitas greedy demands . To her credit she does not fill her damaad's ears about the kartoots , the deeds of his mother and shame him .
She has seen what Manav was unaware of...........a horrid side of Savita . She saw Savita wearing Archus jewels on a function while her daughter was plainly dressed . She saw the demands for jewellery . The blackmails . Uneasily she kept quiet till on the day of the pooja , the pimp , with the aid of the police told that Manav had planned this ALL ALONG TO GET A GIRL NOT IN HIS LEAGUE .
Can u really blame her for believing it ? The way she discovered his dysfunctional family on the day of the marraige .........then , the way she noted Archus torture by Savita when she actually gave the marraige a chance .............sulochana wud perhaps have not believed just Ajit or just that pimp . But clever Ajit pulled in The LAW to testify on his behalf . And he rubbed it in very cleverly that Manav did this coz he had dreamt of marrying a girl not in his league .
And that is the crux of PR , even in the title song . Archana is not exactly in Manav's league . She is from a cultured middle class family , the type who live in flats or bungalows of their own . Manav's dysfunctional family , with a drunken dad , abusive mom and chawl culture is no way anything a woman like Sulochna wud look for while finding a son in law for herself .
Snapping she slapped Manav . I too dont like it and I hope one day she squirms for this action as if ants crawled on her butt , as truly , it is the biggest disrespect a son in law can get . But from her point of view , inspite of knowing the family was thoroughly dysfunctional she had given it a real chance , why ? For only one thing ............that all had told her that THE BOY IS GOOD . GIVE HIM A CHANCE . Dont LOOK AT HIS DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY , OR HIS GREEDY MOM ..................LOOK AT HIM AND SEND YOUR GIRL THERE .
And the boy was exposed as frequenting brothels by the pimp and also by police .
Can one really blame Sulochna for breaking down ? For her that was the last straw . It wud honestly be so for ANY mother .
As far as the list of sacrifices goes ..........if Manav saved Archus honour , Manohar , then Varsha ..................Archu suffred horrendous abuse from Savita and didnt once complain to him about her . She left her whole family to reside with him and adjusted quietly in a standard of living which was frankly below her . She asked for nothing. Demanded nothing .At that point Manav never even had a garage of his own . He worked in sumone else's garage . So u see , their sacrifices equal each other .
If fault has to be really pinpointed here it lies both on Archana and Manav's head for never ever sitting down and talking to each other as such . Manav never really gave her adequate explanations for being in that brothel , for seeing the pimp again , and Archana never bothered to ask . It was her life , she shud have been more curious . Even after the seperation they never really met alone to talk or accuse each other . Always , sumone was there . MAnju was there or Savita , or Satish........sumone or the other . What they shud have done was met alone and talked frankly ..........so many things wud be resolved .
I am still waiting for that moment . Unfortunately even now , too many people r crowding them . to add it , even Shravni has joined the crowd .
They actually need to sit quietly in front of Ganpati Bappa , alone , and TALK .
