This is not Manav which I liked!!!! - Page 2

I am saying that if they stay together he will observe Archna's behavior and his concern towards him in unintentional ways.. u know its said... pyaar chupaye nahi chupta.. maybe he will see she is truly sad and hurt.. maybe his heart will melt (we all know how senti this guy really is even if he is pretending to be a stone right now) maybe u know, when one of them gets wounded the other will be worried or something like that.. all said and done.. the bottomline is that the main problem btw Archna and Manav was that they never got the time and opportunity to talk or sort out their differences.. now things have escalated a lot.. but time is the best healer... and hopefully now that they will both be together they will realise each other's love.

The lovable Manav has vanished . A rugged profession and exterior and a gentle heart was his appeal . He loves a girl not exactly in his league and lo behold , by a miracle of fate he actually marries her ! And he protects her tenderly against all odds . People foresee this as a doomed marraige but the marraige with the girl not in his league actually turns into a fairy tale romance and is darned succesful ! The onus of success was on Manav's character..........he protects the girl like two hands protect the flame of a candle ........from his harsh mother , financial problems , her bad reputation in society due to Ajit , hundreds of little things .

They killed that Manav . If they wanted to show that he was justified in his anger as Archu was unresponsive and rude for some months when he needed her most , they cud have gone ahead with the tape track where they cud have shown the tape exonerates Manav in that very same public function where all were assembled to celeberate the anniversary of Archu's parents , and Manav gives a big speech about how he was wronged and shames Sulochana and Archana and walks away saying I request you now Never to come to my house again .

We cud have seen quite a number of people laying a guilt trip on Sulochana for not giving Manav her ear when he had requested it........primarily Varshu and Manohar . We cud have seen Sulochana squirming . We cud have seen Archu reflecting , repenting , crying , and deciding to somehow win him back .......and her first step wud be in telling in the court that SHE DOESNT WANT THE DIVORCE SHE WANTS ONLY HER MANAV . We cud see the judge ordering Manav to take her home and give a chance and some weeks of Manav coldly turning away while she works on the relationship for a change......supported by Damodar and Sachin and Vandu !

There was no earthly need to kill lovable Sachin either . Sachin 's interactions with Savita were the happy moments of the serial . Savita isn't funny anymore.

Manav gradually thawing , unable to resist his weak point , an electric honeymoon or a passionate consummation of both when they r thrown together locked up somewhere due to rain or sumthing wud have raised the TRPs much higher than Sachin's death . One shud not hack the plot to this extent that the base and characterization itself gets destroyed . Savita discovering to her horror that Archu is pregnant inspie of plotting like hell to keep them apart wud have been the crowning point .

Unfortunately what do we get ?That Shravani is pregnant . Manav is bending backwards and forward to protect HER . Savita is laying fresher guilt trips on others . Archana's dignity is torn to shreds . As an angry young man Manav is protecting the unjust ........Savita and Girish [ by marrying his daughter and protecting his reputation although it was his phone call that sent Sachin over the edge ] and being unfair to the girl who is honestly as much a victim of circumstances as he was . Who will like this angry young man ?

The biggest thing that will go against Manav gradually is the fact that he chose to forgave Girish .........didnt say or lash out with one word against him that u saw my brother was drunk , in a nervous condition and yet chose to make that ruthless phone call without even talking to us on some other day . We do not see a backlash when Girish proposes they marry her daughter that this house is the same........the police case stigma , the poverty , everything is still there yet this time u dont have any qualms sending Shravani here ! Manav chooses to be unforgiving to Archana although by now he clearly knows she didnt do the complaint , that she clearly has no interest in Satish , who loves her sister .............two sore points that had rankled with him . He chooses not to fforgive Archana but Girish who was really responsible in some degree for Sachin's tragic death .

This flaw of the creatives may decrease Manav's popularity . For my part , I miss sorely the Manav in the title song ............the mechanic with the amulet around his neck ........the type one gets from holy places or dargahs , with an open necked cotton shirt , gazing silently and lovingly at his dream girl and entering a brothel to pull her out ! Oh how i miss him and how i hate the creatives .

They will have to showa very very strong romantic track to melt Manav's heart . Just don't have any faith in the writers no more .

And yes kool , I agree , Girish is another guy who is being allowed to walk away with anything.
