let's analyze PR's success

why do you guys think this show is so successful? With the variety of shows on tv of late, I think it is interesting to see which ones are most watched. i think there has been a major shift since ksbkbt. i have only seen a few epiaodes of pr.....i have been watching it for sushant!😉

Adding to the points that you have mentioned: This show is closer to reality - whether it is sets, clothes that the actors wear or the story itself. Like, when Varsha spoke her mind, when Rasika had insulted Sulochana by saying that she could not talk about Satish and Archana's rishta, as Archana was no match for him. Or, like today and tomorrow, when Vinod got to listen to the truth. Instead of, some scheming vamp with cacophonous background music listening by standing outside the door 😆😆😆. Also, the pace of the story - see how quickly the truth came out.

And, yh, definitely, most of the actors are good and have been given nicely itched characters, like Savita Prabhune - she is formidable. Yh..yh..the lead couple is good looking, but good looking people go only a small distance, later a story is required.

You know what now I am scared. Have seen some shows in past, with nice actors, characters and story - have loved them and have felt pain, when the story went down the drain .

Let's just hope that doesn't happen with this show. Hope ke Ektaji baksh de.

P.S. One more thing, it is a relief to not have to listen to characters talking about crores ki deal and all, and instead talking about bhindi costs Rs.65/kg in off season. 😆

^^ i totally agree, the show has more sense of realism.. everyday people can relate..

you guys are definitely right! especially about the class thing. i think tellyland is leaving escapism and heading to realism which also reflects current economic situations. i have my fingers crossed that ekta doesn't ruin this one!

You know Ekta can really show a good show if she feels like it. I mean she HAS the potential to show a good show. Take Kis Desh as an example. Before, December the show was sooo good. Story, actors everything. After Prem's "death" things started to fall apart. Ever since December to the end of June, the show went down the drain. Why? Well...cause Ekta didn't care about the show anymore. She left the show to creatives that played around with the actors and our emotions.

Then, post leap the show has been doing very well. Good concept and everything. Its like the old Kis Desh again. Why? Cause Ekta is finally taking charge and caring for it. Everyone is loving the episodes now. All thanks to Ekta. Since, she is (currently) the brains behind this (cause I heard that she will focusing on the show).

Ekta didn't care for the show before, hence it went down the drain. Now that she is, the show will be back to its former glory. (Oh! And bigggest shocker its not dragging 😲 )

So, I think Ekta can only ruin a show IF she stops caring for it. Doesn't give as much importance as her other shows. But, it seems like that she really cares for PR. She's ecstatic about the TRPs. And possibly will be making an appearance on the show.

So if Ekta still cares about this show, gives as much importance as her other shows, then I have nothing to worry about.

yeah.......that is a really good point! I hope she focuses on all of her shows because she only has 5-6 on right now i think. I like most of them....... Kis desh, bandini, PR,KMH. I think her new crop of actors have really good expressions and acting skills too! Like sushant...I think his expressions and comic timing are impeccable in kis desh but he does a 180 in PR and his expression match manav's character perfectly too!

Sorry to be a spoilsport. Its not Ekta's concept she has bought the rights from a tamil show and thats why it looks close to reality and not like her usual shows....

You are absoultely right!

Since the show is based on reality without the non-sense, its doing well. Its something different to watch on tv.No heavy jewellery, no crores of rupees. Ekta hs stuck to the orginal idea of the Tamil show. She has given lot of thoughts in choosing actors playing the characters. Everybody looks perfect for the part.And its about real people in real situations.
