Yes, Aniruddh got really lucky with this role. HS's character is one of the best character written for a male lead in an ITV show. This show also brought a lot of fame and accolades for him. I didn't even know who Aniruddh was before this show, and I think for lots of people, this is the first show they are watching of his. I am happy for him 😳.

I wonder why other well known TV actors didn't end up doing the role of HS and Babita, you know, like Shweta Tiwari or someone. I find it interesting that Paridhi and Aniruddh ended up with this role, but I am extremely happy for them.

Also, Aniruddh seems really excited about his role and the show in general. I love how he keeps promoting the show in social media, and keeps posting about the cast, esp. Ashnoor and Paridhi. Love their offscreen bond 🤗.

I consider myself blessed that these actors ended up with these roles. If it was anyone else, I dread to think of all the politics that would have been involved in regards to owning the maximum amount of screen space.

Initially, I found it really weird that she was playing a mother to a 17 year old, which is why sometimes I wish Minnie was shown as a 16 year old in the beginning of the show... but maybe they didn't wanna show her that young because of the custody angle 🤔. Ashnoor looks a bit older than her age tbh, so that didn't help. They can totally pass off as sisters lol. Agreed on Aniruddh too, no way he looks 37. They both look early 30s.

Did you see Aniruddh's Insta caption on how both him and Paridhi are reversing in age? 😆

Yes, that was deliberate and I think to offset them playing parents to a 17 year old. He's getting more social media savvy slowly. 😆

I think Aniruddh is aging really nicely, I like his looks better now than a few years go because he really does have such an innocent-looking baby face that I could never have imagined him playing such a mature role as HS.

Ashnoor looks a bit older than her age but her make up has also changed a lot, plus she plays a mature youngster on the show so psychologically viewers accept that too. If you look at the initial episodes, she does look like a 15-year-old.

Maybe Paridhi also agreed to it because Ashnoor was actually just 14 when she was casted in the role of Minnie because she recently turned 15. I mean it would have been weird if some 20 year old was portraying the character of Minnie when Paridhi would have been 30 something, you know what I mean.

But even with the beard his baby face shows at times. 😳

He can pull off the cute, adorable, most handsome, dashing and hot look so well! And I think he's all the more attractive because he hasn't been objectified!

Yes, but I have a feeling the CVs will give in to TRP pressure and will take advantage of his sundarta at some point. 😆

Not that I'm complaining. You didn't think his bathing accidents were just for the story, did you?

I'm just such a huge fan of his various hairstyles on this show, by the way. It's nice to see actors experiment with it and not the actresses.

I don't want to sound mean but it's also because she took a long maternity break after JA and she took this opportunity for a good lead role that a lot of actresses had said no to. I believe a few others were approached before this.

As for Aniruddh, I am really curious as to how he landed this role, considering he has never played such serious ones before and his last one was as a humanoid.

Loll, used the wrong word. It was supposed to be sarcastic. 😆

Salt would fit here too, in line with your comment on kitchen politics, and considering there's a lot of cooking that happens on this show!

I agree, but I also think the writers are doing great job with maintaining that balance, even with supporting characters, which is rare on ITV. Though I still have one complaint regarding the absentee Geeta Kumari.

Lol I am not offended. I haven't watched Paridhi's previous shows so I wasn't really a fan or anything. This is the first show I am watching of hers too.

Maybe thats the reason that she grabbed this opportunity. But, didn't Deepika Singh also audition, but Paridhi ended up getting the role? I honestly don't think Deepika would have done justice to the role of Babita. It cannot picture anyone other than Paridhi in Babita's role, and its the same for Ashnoor and Aniruddh.

I don't know how Deepika would have played Babita, but she's a really good actress too. It's interesting that both these actresses had previously played extremely strong characters in their previous shows, so the PH might have been looking for someone who was convincingly able to start from Babita in a delicate, fragile, damsel in distress stage and work her way towards emancipation.

Yes!

When they were showing all those flashbacks in the wedding, they all looked so young!! 😲 And to think it hasn't even been a full year yet, and they (and we) have all grown so much. <3
