My mom used to watch PB.. so one day while working on my project, I ended up watching an episode and then started reading written updates .. Based got hooked thereafter .. Since June-July I started watching and have fallen in love with it

Yes, IIM is from SGP makers. Same house. Some of actors too. June, July was best time in PB. The continuous gem after gem episodes.

True you feel like savoring those dialogues, scenes, emotions etc .. for a really long time

Saw episode #28 yesterday and was blown away when it coincided with his mother's sequence .. Haye dil mein tees ho Gaya yaar

Lol I checked out the initial epis for Ashnoor, and cuz I’d liked the launch promos but the first week felt super OTT to me with abla Babita, hyper Mini and OTT Khuranas so I gave up and tuned out.

Woh toh by chance I tuned into an epi like 8 months later and discovered the HS-Mini bond that piqued my interest again. Honestly, the initial melodrama was deffo excessive. Yeah I get they wanted to establish Babita ki backstory vis a vis Ashok but I was mostly turned off by the story in those early epis.

Only after they left the house did the story start to pick up and then Ofcourse HS himself ne PHINE kar diya sab 😆

SGP episodes are all available on the Hotstar website. I used to watch and like SGP too.

IIM was underwhelming to say the least. I couldn’t manage to get past 3 epis. Hellishly boring and sappy hai.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but the quality of writing in PB is far superior to SGP.

SGP had a fab cast though...especially the senior cast.

Mental abuse, financial abuse, physiological and emotional abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse etc. also include under domestic violence. HS’s mom suffered abuse for 8 years, Babita suffered them for 17 years. It neither lessons ones suffering nor ones suffering is greater than the other. Abuse is abuse. Also, it doesn’t matter what age you lose your parent. Losing your parent at any age is difficult for any child. If anyone can understand HS’s pain of loosing his mom, it’s Babita. If anyone can understand all that HS’s mom suffered, it’s Babita, which is why is the one that needs to heal him.

I missed initial episodes till the mandir joota chori scene so was just watching the previous episodes from 1 today . Babita was quite into ashok. in a mirage of her own thinking they both were doing it for family. if she was living without him even he was away alone which is true (except that ashok had fount meeta) not only babita she kept mini under a mirage too of a good loving marriage & father. if you remember how mini was convincing preet that her parents love was one of a kind inspite of not staying together. And no one will deny that dadu treated her well & even biji to an extent was selfish but still behaved well with her. in fact babita stood up for beeji when dadu tried to leave the house & go away. so she did have good relations with them. So it isnt that she suffered torture or abuse for 17 years.

the torture stared after Ashok came back. when she had to leave the house & ashok tried to get mini away from her. Specially during the divorce track where Ashok spewed venom & emotionally abused her. not only her but mini also. Actually he should have been booked for disrespecting a woman's modesty like that.

The female lead especially can’t act. I have low patience for lack of acting skills in the leads đŸ€·â€â™€ïž Lol

Jab PB hai, toh I don’t see a point of watching this show 😆....finally there’s an option that has both good writing and acting.

Oh and Hotstar can be accessed via VPN if you want.

Exactly. And neglect is also a form of abuse that leaves deep emotional scars.

A husband who was emotionally distant for 17 years and when he finally returned, he eviscerated your spirit. Yeh abuse kam hai kya?

It’s sad that we are still debating quantity of abuse here and actually questioning if Babita faced any abuse for 17 years đŸ€”

im just checking out the initial episodes and i saw beeji telling that they kept babita & mini with them so that ashok would keep visiting them & if they were with him he would not feel the need to come & visit. Wow some selfishness there . not even thinking of their own son who would have to live alone in a new place. now i kind of feel bad for him he is supposed to go and stay alone and earn for them & lovely & they cant even send babita with him. Now isnt this an ideal scenario for a person getting into an extra martial affair. đŸ„± now for their selfish thinking both their children have gone away and they are left with no one.

And babita is one more mahaan bahu. Here mini was trying to tell her that she hasnt lived with her dad for so many years but now wants to be with him, she is all about how will daadu & beeji stay they are old. i was like think about your child too. Its a good thing mini asked if they have to wait for daadu beeji to die before they go with ashok😆

i started watching it from the joota chori episode but actually got irritated with babitas mera pati hai rant at hanuman after he saved mini from ashok pulling & manhandling her, so missed off some episodes on & off. started regurarly watching it from the episode where ashok gives divorce papers to babita. Mini crying & hanuman consoling her touched me. i could see a wonderful bond created

And i never mentioned that babita dint suffer mental abuse or what you call as emotional domestic violence or that emotional abuse is not abuse. Any kind of abuse leaves a mark in their own different ways.

But i do disagree that babita suffered abuse for 17 years. Many wife & children stay away from their husbands who go to earn in different country. It isnt a mental abuse or torture. Secondly babita happily choose to sacrifice for the family. I will still say that she faced the mental abuse only after ashok came back. Yes she would feel like she was cheated all those 17 years but still when she lived those 17 years with her inlaws & mini she was not suffering abuse at their or ashok's hands. She still has good relations with her inlaws because she has spent a considerable amount of good time with them.

Mini was pulled by her father(which hanuman saved her from) slapped by him, questioned by ashok when a guy maligned & she had filed a case. There is a list. Now isnt that abuse. why do we see abuse as only that a wife bears. Parents emotionally, physically abusing children is not seen as abuse? Even she was neglected by Ashok like babita was.
