Maybe it’s just me but I’ll never understand why abuse has to judged over only physical violence.

Ashok didn’t constantly beat Babita so does that make her trauma less? Living with years of neglect leaves its own kind of scars....so why must we keep trying to quantify that HS’s mother suffered more because she was beaten?

These women ALL suffered....that is the underlying point here. Babita knows that trauma even if she didn’t get beaten up for years. She suffered a different kind of emotional and verbal abuse that destroyed her soul....does trauma only count if it leaves physical scars?

I personally find it immensely tragic that she was abandoned by all her blood relatives, lost her parents and was let down by the ppl she submitted herself too. The scars that can leave on a psyche also change you forever. Mini kept her sane otherwise she was more or less dead inside her soul, surviving on a mirage.

But unlike most other shows which drag episodes in a horrible gimmicky fashion, I don't get a sense of gimmicks with this show.....even if they move slowly through some plots, the scenes hold my attention.

True true. PB has never dragged any track in gimmicky manner. Even if they drag, they give meaningful scenes of supporting characters.

And show can't run on HS, Mini and Babes only. These 3 actors can't shoot so much daily. It's a five days week show. They have their personal life. TV schedule is so hectic. Show needs all of this extra characters & scenes. Sometime you have add in Khatri drama too. smiley36

What episode no is this?

Yeh yaad karna difficult hai. Being in US, initially I started watching in Youtube but Sonyliv due to "copyright infringement", cuts scenes & mutes all the songs. So I started watching from a website. Toh episode number toh pata nahi. Might not be there in Youtube.

True .. Abuse is not just physical .. there are many other forms and each form is equally destructive emotionally/physically/mentally as physical abuse .. physical abuse may leave scars on one's body but they too leave emotional scars similar to verbal and emotional abuse .. the end result is the same in all types of abuses .. neither is more or less severe than the other

I usually don't like long-drawn out shaadi tracks but I am amazed by how this show is showing that if a long shaadi track has to be done, then this is how it should be. It's really great how they are tackling some genuine issues throughout this wedding journey. Most of it was Babita's insecurities... be it her wanting some assurance from Hanuman, her being able to confront Lovely or simple things like her worrying about the mehendi and lehenga, and then her wondering whether she is doing a disservice to her daughter. There was such a range of stuff covered here. And then they've pointed out how Mini has been associating her happiness with this wedding and her mother's happiness more than she should be. Plus, we have had the door to HS's childhood issues open up.

And the best part is all these things are being brought up without making the atmosphere completely gloomy or turning it into headache-inducing drama. They've managed to infuse the wedding with warmth and happiness that as a viewer one would want to cheer for these characters, and root for this wedding.

+1000....this exactly. They are showing a wedding track so beautifully beyond my expectations.

ITV is a total shitshow otherwise now, but this show GETS what STORYTELLING is👏🏻....and good storytelling is that which has the power to make you savor everything without thinking kya fast hai, Kya slow hai.

I’d hardly call myself a patient person otherwise but this show makes me want to be patient, to savor every moment of this story, this journey....jitna bhi Time lage :)

Hey Areyaar, can I request for a gif? Can you make one when HS demonstrates how ek kan se suno aur dusre kan se --shhuiiii. 😆 Yeh Gif real life mein bhi bahot kam ka hai. Perfectly done by Anirudh.

If and when you have time. Thanks.

^ Exactly! Domestic violence isn’t just about physically torturing your spouse. Mental abuse, financial abuse, physiological and emotional abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse etc. also include under domestic violence. HS’s mom suffered abuse for 8 years, Babita suffered them for 17 years. It neither lessons ones suffering nor ones suffering is greater than the other. Abuse is abuse. Also, it doesn’t matter what age you lose your parent. Losing your parent at any age is difficult for any child. If anyone can understand HS’s pain of loosing his mom, it’s Babita. If anyone can understand all that HS’s mom suffered, it’s Babita, which is why is the one that needs to heal him.
