We have seen Minnie continuously make all the sacrifices, and be her guiding support, but when has Babita ever done the same for her?

The one moment that comes to mind is when Babes stood up for Minnie at the Gulabo ice cream parlor when they had newly shifted. But other than that, nothing really comes to mind.

this i completely agree with infact she has put her dil duties above mini sometimes as i have seen

Come to think of it even when she “bought mini the tv” it was only to watch HER interview lol

When Babita told off Meeta when Meeta was accusing Minni of becoming poisonous (you had never seen Babita stood her ground until that time) . When Babita supported Minni against the khuranas when she said she wanted to change her last name. When Babita tried to re-connect Minni to her fathers side of the family when she realized that because of her, Minni has lost contact and relationship with those people. When Babita understood Minni's mental health situation and inspite of having a different outlook, went to the doctor to discuss Minni's situation when many times parents don't even take the whole mental health issues positively. When Babita understood Minni and Mickey's friendship after her fight with Minni, inspite having social conditioning of "log kya kahenge". When Babita was not ready to accept her feelings for HS because of how Minni would react or if Minni would accept it.

All these instances isn’t something to highlight, it’s what any mother would do right? And a lot of these instances can stem fr babita supporting mini thru her own benefit.

Even your last point, babita didn’t want to accept her feelings cos of how mini would react but In the end she did it without even discussing it with mini first lol

I do think they should start showing more of the maternal side to her. Maybe have it be a two way relationship where she can also be as supportive to mini as mini has been to her - now that she’s a lot more confident in herself and able to offer support ofc

So did I. As much as it’s babitas day, when a mother and daughter are a part of a wedding, they usually make a big fuss about what each other is going to wear! How babita can accept her daughter wearing old clothes at her wedding I have no idea. One thing is for sure, mini would never let ANYONE (be it babita, hs, or her grandparents) wear old clothes at her wedding.

I hope in babitas emancipation, it doesn’t end up being mini ending up bitter and resentful with all the sacrificing she’s doing. I kinda got a glimpse of it the other day when she was telling babita about the alimony etc. I didn’t realise she was holding all of that resentment over the incident.

Minnie's issues are going to come out over time in a whole new way. I am sure it would be interesting to watch how she handles things and now with her father in her life, she can calm down and deal with her issues in a much more structured way.

After watching that Gulabo lip dub, the word Gulabo or the song will never mean the same thing again for me.

I agree. Perhaps once they’ve shown a successful second marriage for a woman they can then focus on what an absent parent/s and divorce does to scar the mind of kids

Do you remember what NB told HS after mother-daughter ran upstairs with their first check from catering? She had said that her heart ached for both of them knowing that one hadn't experienced a husband's love and the other hadn't known what a father's love was. I think in that moment I knew that Minnie's issues would be dealt with.

They don't talk about it directly, everyone automatically accepts HS and Minnie's bond but I want them to discuss this. I want them to show HS addressing some of Minnie's repressed anger and the reason for it, as well what the absence of a father did to her. He can love her all he wants but the scars aren't going to be gone so easily, especially because the divorce was so nasty and the fallout from it traumatizing for her.

I came across that video accidentally on YouTube and cracked up the whole time. Come to think of it, Gulabo is the perfect choice and it was done with a lot of humor. It's great to see people enjoying themselves like that.

Maybe it’s asking for too much but it would have been nice if they both worked on their issues together at the same time, rather than one persons issues (babita’s) taking precedence over the other (mini’s). I understand that they needed to show babita getting confidence and stuff but t would have been nice if while she was getting this confidence, she considered the impact on mini, and gave a little back while still receiving everything she did from mini.

Better late than never I suppose...
