Yaar I just love the way you put across things such as this:

Minnie woke up to find her mother asleep on the couch outside. When had Babita done that? I am certain that after she had gone to her room, she could not stay still in bed, and sleep must have evaded her. The freshly-made pots and the scent of their beautiful moments together must have enticed her, beckoned her to come out of hiding. She could not go to him, but she could surely remain in that space where she still felt his presence, the lingering emotions of their silent exchanges wrapping around her like a soft, warm blanket.

It was a new morning, a nayi subah and the DJ wale babu had a message loaded with meaning - of the promise of rain and people's hopes of being drenched in it, only to find there were no clouds in the sky. Patiala aaj bhi baarish ke liye taras raha hai.

HS' affection and his passion had opened her eyes to a new side to herself, yet it was only a few drops that had fallen on parched land. This was only the beginning and there was far to go, she was yet to experience the downpour of his emotions.

You know I would probably not have grasped the first highlighted part as well as you have captured it. And you have put it so beautifully especially the last sentence of the first bolded paragraph!

I felt exactly the same about the DJ wala babu and his statement but I love your choice of words and how you string them so so well to give shape to my exact same thoughts.

hats of to you!

I don;t even know your name. I really have become a huge fan of your writing. I teach French. I am a language teacher. I love literature. I love nuances. That's why I feel so in synch with you.

Will elaborate more for your future WUs. usually I almost never find enough time to really express myself fully! Sad!!!

I'm Jean, and you?

I love literature and languages, and I speak French too! Now that you've told me about yourself I understand your comments better. Your appreciation is even more valuable than it already was. 😃

wow such fun. So you speak French too!

I teach French, and am also an interpreter and translator. So I end up working a lot but I love the work I do!

What I love about this show is really how nuanced it is and how artistically pleasing the storytelling in the show is, the background scores, the use of instruments, the simplicity of the sets and the getup (clothes, accessories, etc.) of the protagonists, the slow relatable pace, no seeing the world in black and white, a simple story beautifully told and so on and so forth.

I am Padma.

Lovely meeting you Jean!

Lovely meeting you too! I love the show for pretty much the same reasons you have mentioned. It's a a rare one but that is precisely why it is so alluring.

Surprisingly, my favorite scene of the episode was the one where HS was washing his face as Lala read out the letter to him. As he thought back to the events of last night his changing expression portrayed the entire spectrum of emotions he was feeling. Almost as if to wake himself up in case he had been dreaming, he continued to splash water on his face.

I love the contrast you've highlighted between Babes and HS. On one hand, as you said, Babes has gotten "only a few drops" of this love and she's already yearning for more but won't voice it out loud. On the other hand, HS was continuously drenching himself with water, trying to navigate through all the complexities of what transpired last night. He's sure of what he wants and isn't afraid to express it whether it's in direct words or actions. Babes on the other hand needs to be eased into it. She needs little nudges here and there so that her mind can open up to these ideas and start to accept them as normal.
