Yes, today I also got the same feeling as with (g)older episodes, especially the HS and Lala scenes in the police station. I want to see more of HS at work, not just running around trying to solve mother-daughter problems. They don't deserve so much attention, frankly.
I think I know which way this is headed. It looks like HS will not be able to express himself while Babita will now expect him to be more expressive. There will be some irritation on her end while she enjoys this 'friendship' because on some subconscious level she wants now wants him to woo her. When it's not forthcoming, she will be frustrated and possibly try to take the lead in this.
The radio scenes showed that she is now less afraid and more willing to explore this relationship and not worry so much about "log kya kahenge". She's becoming bolder but HS is still quite shy in many ways. He might just miss his opportunity and Babita will have moved on/away.
I won't be surprised if there's a new man introduced in her life who is dashing, handsome, successful, etc. and who falls for the confident Babita we see today, who, sad to say, was mentored by HS to get to this point, yet all his hard work might be whisked away by some other "lucky man". Babita will have to fight her emotions to figure out what she really wants and if she wants to be with HS because she falls in love with him in spite of the growing differences between them or because she feels a sense of gratitude/debt towards him.
There's another thing brewing: Minnie and Babita are working hard to expand their business. They will explore new avenues, gain fame and wealth over time (with struggles of course). Minnie said it jokingly to HS but there was very deep message about his life revolving only around policing.
I think the mother and daughter duo are going to get wings and fly, and in all of this HS will somehow be left behind. He will still have his simple job and life, his simple but precious outlook on life, and his simple pleasures in life. On the other hand, the two ladies will reach higher levels of success and there may be disparity at some point that drives them apart, perhaps even Babita's ego getting in the way at some point. The way she reacted when HS asked if they would go to Chandigarh alone gave me weird vibes. Minnie is already hard to control and with Babita becoming busier she won't have so much time to pay attention to the nitty gritties in Minnie's life. Mickey + Preet troubles coming up methinks.
If this is how things go, I would love to see the journey, because these writers are capable of taking this to another level altogether.
