I agree. She doesn't have to be a saint. If she resents Meeta for the rest of her life, that is perfectly normal behavior!

No She does not have to forgive Mita.

But why the holy attitude, she never made any effort to make her Marriage work. But instead gave 100% to being the ideal daughter in law, washing and cooking looking after them. Listening to taunts from neighbours about her absent husband and even Mini pinning for her Father and requesting to go to London.

She did not even give 50% to make her Marriage her work. So why the attitude towards Mita.

Also, Mita telling Babita and her daughter.. that how he cared for her once upon a time is insensitive in my opinion. Even if he is an ex husband.. she was married to him too. She too must have dreamed of having a family life with the guy. He ruined her life too, Mita was another reason for her misery. One can be kind, but it's not her mess to clean.

Given her circumstances its understandable though. Mita just wants to rant. But under normal circumstances.. It would have been awkward & insensitive.

I don't think CVs on ITV have the guts to show a FL who is flawed and is willing to acknowledge/accept it. She will always be whitewashed and while she can be told off by HS for the mistakes she makes in parenting or taking other decisions, I doubt they will go so far as to explore her side of the coin as you mention. Fine, she was really young when she got married but what happened as both Minnie and she got older? 17 years is half her life and that seems to have been worth what?

Look at Kammo! She might be less cultured and on-your-face but even she knows how to deal with someone like Khatri. She also knows how to stand up for herself even though she's has always been tied to the traditional mentality of being a typical housewife. Once she tasted financial freedom she learned from it and found a way to make things better for herself, all the while keeping Khatri in check. It was a great contrast we saw the other day when Kammo said she'd leave along with the shop, whereas Babita didn't fight or even ask for her rights when she was married to Ashok and even afterwards during the divorce proceeding. Had it not been for HS and Lala she would not have asked for alimony. No wonder Minnie is like this, trying to be her mother. As she rightfully says everyone's happiness is in their own hands.

I don't have an issue if she never falls for or marries HS. That's her prerogative, but I hope she learns from her mistakes one day. I agree with your post. Frankly, her holier-than-thou attitude got on my nerves in her attitude towards Meeta even after bringing her to HS' house. I don't expect her to like or befriend Meeta, but the way she still behaved bothered me too. Even Meeta's parting scene... I don't know how to explain it but I lost my sympathy for Babita.

Doesn't matter if Babita gave 100% or 0% in that marriage, she doesn't deserve to wait for such a long time, No one does. Mita could have forced ashok to either leave Babita or leave her wayy before. Why did she maintain that relationship knowing about his true character? No matter how much he cared for her; infidelity is very wrong. And that is exactly why Babita shouldn't have forced herself to forgive Mita. Babita is too harsh on herself and trying too hard. That's just very irritating. I cringed everytime Babita and Mita tried to interact. Just skipped those parts! how does Mita become innocent by putting all the blame on her parents? Why would any parent be okay with their child getting pregnant at 16 ? Why does mita's parents have to accept Mita's stupid decisions ? She is suffering for her own decisions. I don't think she's a victim. She could have redeemed by taking legal action against that Ashok. She didn't even do that. Just hated Babita, Mini and Mita in the recent episodes. Why don't they take HS's advice and let ashok rot in jail!!

I suggest you look around and see. Girls still get pregnant at 16 years and some parents don't care for there daughters. Nothing new in that.

I disagree you can say what you like about Babita but she made no effort at all in her marriage. Or look after her daughter properly as She was too busy playing the ideal daughter in law. Even Mini has mentioned it that. Nor when her daughter was pinning for dad she still made no effort at all.

So sorry i don't have your willingness to blame Mita when Babita herself was to blame 100% for failure of her marriage. And the saintly attitude is too much too stomach.

She is going to go running back to Ashok for her romantic undying love for Ashok. Even Mini has told her to move on but no she wants to tragic heroine.

Thats why she is always showing off in front of him reminding him of whay he has lost.

@guddi01 I am also afraid she would at some point consider going back to Ashok for some stupid reason or the other.

If that happens, I really want HS to pull a Rhett Butler at the end of Gone With the Wind.

Now she has got a lot of money, I dont know how, I have seen no cooking done for the afternoon and evening contracts. So She must be wealthy right.

Now that we have the Khuranas as neighbours, this is a subtle way of her going back to Ashok. As now days she is like a coin. HS or Ashok a love triangle.

Now that she is going to bail out Ashok installment and as She is so attached to the elderly Khuranas and its there beloved home and she lived there as well. Its getting like the typical saas bhua serials with numerous weddings etc.

I'm not blaming Mita for the failed marriage. Is it too hard to understan? Mita nahi bhi hoti to bhi shadi toot jati. But Mita ko zarurat kya thi khud ko isme involve karne ki? I'm always blaming Mita because Babita had to wait a little more( 7 years. Babita had to wait 17 years in total, but mita came In Ashok's life 10 years ago. She got to know about Ashok's marriage 3 years after her relationship) She could easily tell ashok to leave Babita and save 7 years of it. I don't like mita for that one reason. Too weak to take a stand for herself. No matter how much Ashok cared for mita. She should have understood that once a cheater, always a cheater. Fitrat kabhi nahi badalti.
