Soak whole moong dal (with chilka) overnight...Add little bit of rice (a fistful of rice for 1 cup moong dal)...Add cumin seeds, green chillies, ginger to the dal and grind them...

You don't have to ferment this batter...You can make dosas immediately after grinding...

Sprinkle onions on the dosa and this tastes good with peanut or ginger chutney...
