@bold: Hmm..true that is. But this is messed up. So under normal circumstances Kunal Chopra is a non-believer who does not take anything associated with God seriously but when he becomes desperate, he either directly communicates his desires to God (take me instead of Siddhi) or challenges the entire existence of God as he is doing now.

So ultimately Kunal Chopra conveniently decides on which side of the fence he will sit according to the situation? 😳 He does not decide , he just struts around , yesterday Ganapati happened to be in his way so he spoke to him , if it had been a bar he would have downed some pegs , if it had been Thakral he would have suggested a visit to Dhobi Ghat vagera vagera ! 😡
EK once said men are eye-candy in a daily soap , I was hoping with Parichay being promoted as male - centric might be different! Guess I was wrong , she and her creatives regularly strip Kunal Chopra (others too but here its about Kunal Chopra) of whatever dignity he manages to adorn himself with!😡🤢

Exactly, this show was never meant to be one of those standard shows where the male lead either stands beside his wife like a pole or walks around in half buttoned shirts to please the general audience but it seems that Ekta decided to take the other route and give the male lead more screen space expect this time the male lead would have to enact absolute nonsense.

No wonder he belongs with Siddhi. She is a bechari who cannot open her mouth and he is a bechara who can open his mouth but cannot use his brain. Ram milayi jodi!

@Hima: Hey, don't laugh at our Bechara No. 1. His life is so full of sorrow and melodrama, what else can he do? Kunal Chopra is like the male male version of tragedy queen Meena Kumari...😆

Cannot agree more! It's just that they should have been sterilized but unfortunately they procreated and now there are two kids one which already exhibits his dad's love for velapan and emotional dumbness and the other exhibits his mothers traits of running away to land in a soup, OTT dialogues(but seriously Siddhi is better , this kid...uffo) and tears!😡

LOL...😆 ...Much to my dismay, they did procreate and that too in double. Ahh, seems like genetics plays a stronger role than we give it credit for. We can so predict the future, 15 years from now Anand Sr. will sacrifice left, right and center for every Tom, Dick and Harry in his life and Anand Jr. will drink, gamble, and challenge God...What fun...😆

@bold...that is so true 😛 the axis for his sacrifice will be the love of his life, probably some empty head dolled up girl 😉 whom even Anand Jr will claim to love 🤢 & thus starts the next generation of parichay with the same theme of ek anar do bimar 🤢 😡

@pink: Yes, Mr. Kunal Chopra has been the ultimate BECHARA for an eternity now.

My psycho girlfriend Richa left me...Boo hoo..I am going to sulk about it for 5 years.

My forever sacrificing wife Siddhi left me... Boo hoo..I am going to sulk about it for 9 years.

My OTT dialogue mouthing kid Anand is going to leave me...Boo hoo...I am going to challenge God on his existence and then when I finally do lose my kid, I will blame God and sulk about it for 485385457 years to come.

And to think this BECHARA OF THE MILLENNIUM is supposed to be a gold medal winning lawyer... 🤢

🤣🤣

Not quite the hero we'd envisaged, eh?

Script wise, there are barely a handful of scenes, IMO that stand out as note worthy in KC's characterization...

1) His proposal to Siddhi the day his brother dies
2)The bhang induced Hloi confession
3) His conversation with an unconscious Siddhi in hospital
4) His recent refusal to "fill Richa's maang"

This is the good, decisive yet gentle hero that we've all wanted, not that man who can't tell his elbow from his back si** on most days & yet thinks the sun shines out of his posterior🤢

I'm willing to bet that these well-written scenes were outsourced to non BT writers, considering that the in-house writers invariably portray him as this spineless, willy-nilly character that swings any which way but the right way.

The following article in TOI states the importance of men in TV shows. Parichay, as usual isn't mentioned, but considering that the show has not much else besides Samir Soni to boast of, shouldn't they wake up to the fact??

Samir is not even mentioned!😕 Every other male lead seems to have found a spot!🤢 But then can't really blame the article writer , I guess Kunal Chopra failed to deliver, thanks to EK and her talented CV's! Oh a special round of applause to NB who stepped in and ensured that every single characeter on the show gets mutilated beyond recognition! At the end of the day an actor is know by the character he plays!🤢 No denying in Samir's calibre but that does not make up for the lack of talent in the creative and writing department of Parichay!😡

@red: You've mentioned some of the best scenes in the show Fariyal. Kunal's proposal to Siddhi was so incredibly dignified and definitely something I did not expect from a character like Kunal Chopra. It was such a surprise element and the sincerity with which Kunal approached Siddhi was amazing. Definitely something one would want in their man.

And then his conversation with Siddhi at the hospital when he was on the brink of losing her was probably one of the most well scripted scenes with amazing dialogues and phenomenal acting. Samir was truly incredible and it totally gave the silent, brooding Kunal Chopra, who could never express his feelings, a new dimension.

These two scenes along with the rest are just spurts of genius and this is why it is so incredibly shocking to see how the quality of the show has deteriorated. Even with the regular ups and downs, the show was never as bad as it is currently. Apart from the overhaul of negativity, even the characters are making no sense and it is just frustrating to not be able to see the Kunal or Siddhi the audience envisioned or wanted.

@blue: I know. They probably did outsource some of the best phases of this show because there is seriously no connect with how good the show was a few months ago and now. And the worst part is Samir said we should give feedback and they will listen, we gave feedback in all forms, positive and negative but it seems nothing has worked and the show has just hit rock bottom.

That article is interesting but alas, the makers of this show are just too busy portraying Kunal Chopra as a helpless lamb so obviously the male star of this show gets no weightage... 👎🏼

hi

Chitra i no longer watch as you know and i didnt even read the update so i dont know about this scene either. But from what i have read here i can understand the kind of scene it would have been, its one of those scenes we have seen in other soaps and movies, maybe here cvs just added it to fill in the episode and time pass.

the makers have already made of mockery of religion in the past too when the kids were shown praying to God to unite they parents so many times and that never happened, instead we got to see sick shaadi of siddhi-abhay.

Siddhi too has been shown praying to God when the court case happened of rohit's murder and after the blunders she made she ended up signing deal with richa. leading to 9yrs of separation.

God can only help one if he/.she wants to help themselves and he/she has a clear conscience

Right now it seems its all his REVENGE on kunal's side and it doesnt make sense, infact nothing makes sense.
