So being an ardent fan of Parichay and Kunal, at times i was asked what is Kunal?
My answer would be - most complex character, perfectly imperfect man, man destined to motivate masses, man who had mass appeal; in short best character Indian television has seen.

Now if someone dare to ask em what is Kunal? - a perfect example of hate crime I say. I do not need to go into details how Kunal has been stripped of every decent bone in his body, raped of every single factor that set him apart from everyone else. One may ask why? I see no other reason than pure malice against Kunal.
Just look at what has become of out Telly Bachchan? Can anyone recognize him? Only looking at past few months; man who spent 9 years doing what😕, irresponsible father, irresponsible son, family member, incapable of taking any real responsibility, a bad citizen, bad influence, worst role model anyone can have, husband - forget about it, fearful individual, weak minded man inviting people to manipulate him, puppet dancing at vamp's tune, man turned into tennis ball between wife and ex, and now to top it off man who needs to be spoon fed by a 9 year old.

Some may say well BT is famous for portraying male as weak individuals while females taste glory of greatness. Well not true. I checked other BT show and there male lead have still maintained some of their dignity. The treatment Kunal has received is more than any other show's character combined.
One may say well that's daily soap. Now if it was any other show where people to take joy out of seeing a decent man raped, I would not complain. But that is not the case with Parichay. What set Parichay apart is Kunal Chopra. Why ridicule reason of your success?

I see no other reason than strong malice towards Kunal. Being a male-centric show, male lead has become biggest joke. I guess CVs thought this idea may not work. But to their surprise people actually welcomed a male-centric show and more than that a male lead who did more than wearing small size t-shirt wooing college kids or aunties for just being pretty.
It went against the norm and how come we can give male lead his due. So they went on mission of annihiliation. Kunal Chopra has potential to be the most memorable character on tv, so now they are hell bent on giving a character no one would ever want to remember. People had started comparing other to Kunal, now comparison still exist but in opposite direction.

So to sum it all up, I say it is perfect example of hate crime. In general hate crime involves some type of offense. But here I must applaud CVs for fulfilling their hate. Simply offense of murder or robbery can have impact to only some extent. But here they make sure they leave no stone untouched. See it is not real life, yet we can sense extent of their sadist tendency. How constructively they are making opportunities to further degrade Kunal. Being in Forensic Psychology I have come across a lot, but CVs you are on top. 👏👏👏

Just one question - what is reason for this hatred towards Kunal?

Jay just for your last line 👏 👏 👏.
I guess for the first time i have seen so many intellectual people liking any character. This is the first show whose audience is actually not typical saas bahu but was the people who actually liked the character.

Yes Bhavi,
I too was surprised when I first came to forum. This is first time I heard people actually care about a character and not just stupid twist of daily soap. I have never seen so many intellectuals take such keen interest in a daily soap and more a character.
I haven't seen such intense discussion on a character from a movie of book.
But it saddens me so many intellectuals are not able to move CVs (any adjective I use now will result in me being thrown out of the forum)

BTW Jay - sorry to go to off topic- Hope you are safe and sound with Sandy around

wow ..Jay very well said ..
Like Kunal Chopra the husband died when Sidhi left him ,Kunal Chopra we loved to core died in June ..since then we just get a glimpse of our akaddoo Kunal chopra every now and them and if lucky enough on that day we get to see him using his brain occasionally, but that's not what was promised and that is not how a male lead of the show should be treated, esp. when he is carrying the show on his shoulders ..cant see him crying and being helpless and manipulated by the vamp ..

CVs it is high time, you have butchered Kunal Chopra beyond recognition, we want our Kunal Chopra the... angry young man with attitude back right away ..

Jay,I don't think it is targeted at SS or for that matter KC.Parichay is my 3rd BT show, even though I started watching all three mid way,I have seen a pattern in all three.I have mentioned it before also somewhere, that ALL,I repeat,ALL of the BT male leads are sad caricatures of what there were once,by the time they totally in love with the heroine.I fail to understand why,but it has to be like that in all her shows.Every time this happened,I have seen similar posts on the forum, suspecting some kind of hatred towards either the character or the actor himself. But I don't think that's the case.

If anyone has seen Kasam Se,they created a strong, brave, arrogant, but affectionate tycoon called Jai Walia, and by the time the show ended,he was reduced to absolutely NOTHING.

So,hold on,my friend, this is nothing compared to what BT is capable of doing to the male leads.

Yes Padmini,

Kunal Chopra did die long ago.
But still necrophiliac CVs continue mutilating the name Kunal Chopra.
Is it that hard to take control of the situation? No as I see they can show 9 year old smart and sensible, but not our hero? (well if you can still call him a hero)
