Let's start the day knowing about few people who have touched kannadiga's heart in their own unique way. Almost two decades after losing him to a road accident Shankar Nag is still fondly remembered by the people of Karnataka. A whole generation of youngsters have grown up hearing about the man from their parents and seniors, seeing his image on almost every auto and watching his films on television.

Like seeing pieces of jigsaw puzzle, never getting to see the whole. The man who gave us Malgudi days to cherish our childhood, the person who gave us taste of theatre along with Girish karnad and Gubbi veerana (theatre maestro) to everyone. Ranga shankara the theatre in Bangalore is built in his honour by his wife Arundatti Nag.
