there is now doubt that Siddhi is the Male & female lead of the show and I don't mind that. CVS have done saamoohiq (Chamatkaar) of character Kunal in Parichay. For me Kunal as a character was good when he was fighting the court case against Siddhi and after that graph has gone down and now he is in jail

Sure Salman, I don't mind that either, but I do mind Samir Soni being a part of that show, however nondescript. They are welcome to go ahead & make it a full fledged female oriented show, no holds barred... all they have to do is give Kunal Chopra a decent death... release the news in the press that Kunal Chopra will be dying & the show will revert to a female-centric theme from hereon.

As Bhavi said, promoting nari shakti here defeats the purpose of this story. Nari shakti has no place, no scope in Kunal Chopra's story.

Yes we wanna see kunal's parichay... Get kunal on the charge...
He need to be brave enough to face all the situations in life...

Do not disregard the voice of the audience, they are the ones who put the bread on your table.

Though I speak for myself, I have no doubt that the majority of the remaining viewers are with me when I say... I have no interest in Siddhi's Parichay, be it as a wife or daughter in law. I still hang around in wait of the new & improved Kunal Chopra, to see him take control of his skewed life & be the captain of his fate.
I have no interest in waiting around while you haphazardly decide on another course of woman power, amidst some measly sightings of a doleful, submissive Kunal behind bars.

Bottom line... CVs - shape up or ship out! If you are incapable of doing the job, bow out & make place for fresh talent. At the least, look into your in-boxes, they are filled to the brim with free suggestions.

Fari - First of all great Post👍🏼 and you need a big applaud👏 to point out the obvious which the makers, channel heads and most of the viewers seem to have forgotten that the show was advertised to us as Kunal Chopra's Parichay and not of Siddhi Chopra. I don't mind Siddhi being part of Kunal's Parichay, but I do mind the show turning about only Siddhi's Parichay. This is not what we were promised and this is not what we will accept. I think you and I and some other members of the show speak on behalf of all Indian Beti, Bahu, saas, and all other female who supposedly the current nonsense was targeted at.

As you said If they want to make this show about Siddhi Chopra's Parichay - They can show us a decent death of Kunal Chopra so we all can big final adieu to this show and let those who want to watch female oriented shows enjoy this show to fullest with no reservations from our side. We keep voicing our displeasure with Siddhi taking the center stag e and Kunal being reduced to mere a junior artist because the makers still haven't announced to us that they have changed the original theme of the show (male oriented) to a new theme female oriented. Unless and until they do that I still expect Kunal to lead the way and Siddhi being only his support and not the lead of the show.

we've said a 100 times already what we want to see & don't...that we are sounding like a broken record now CVs on the other hand have listened to us rant & don't seem to give two hoots about our suggestion/ideas to improve the show. their eyes are wrapped in blinkers as they can only see the fluctuations in TRPs 😡

They veered away from the core-concept of the show long time ago & are inky-pinky-pooying with the tracks to see which garners them the required numbers 🤢 to add to the woes the writers,directors & CVs are shuffled from one show to another of the PH's as per the whims of EK Mata 😡 The show has become a circus of clowns & there is no one constant (except SS to an extent) to guide everyone, and to take a firm decision to make this an intelligent show.

The show is a month shy from becoming a year old & we are yet to see the parichay of Kunal Chopra which was promised to us in the Promos 😔 If the CVs are brain dead to even look up in the forum to Clt C & Clt V the gazillion ideas with which the show can get back on track, then I seriously doubt if this show will ever match our expectations we might get the same wine in a new bottle the next time around🤢 if this is what the PH is planning, then i suggest they RIP the show in the coming month for everyone's piece of mind.🤔

Yeah for sure she knows the pulse of the society. Most of the viewers of any of the soaps are saas, bahus and betis (Nothing against any show watchers) However the theme of the show was not a saas/ bahu drama. The original theme was a second chance in Man's life. As long as the male lead was in centre the TRP was great. The moment they started showing the maniac saas, The daima confirming the preggy, Dispute in brothers due to EMA- the TRP started going down.

So even the original saas/bahu/EMA formula did not work for this show. The most famous Rape case also ended up in pity. If they want to promote Nari shakti then do it properly not like this. Today's professional woman is no way like what has been portrayed here and who else knows this better than the show maker herself.

In the same drama Seema is shown to be more stronger than Siddhi and we all love her for that.

Just took a look at the TRP's from the rape case to date!!😆 Yea kinda jobless😉

Feb - Apr(1st week) [Post consummation , rape case]

The TRP's managed a steady rise for a good months👏.So what were the highlights of this period😉.

*Post consummation we saw Kunal battle with his emotions concering Siddhi and Anand.
*We saw Kunal initiate a divore he least wanted and repent it day in day out.
*Kunal discovers the truth about Richa and very intense THANAL confrontations👏.
*Kunal's first and perhaps best defense against Thakral👏.
*Kunal gets debarred because he could not stand Siddhi being insulted, his marriage being insulted and to a certain degree Siddhi's mutism.
*Siddhi screws up with contact ,Kunal saves the day.
*So what if Siddhi was fighting his case , Kunal got her sister hitched.
*Valentine scenes showed us Kunal's struggle with his unrealized love for Siddhi and his guilt over Anand.
*CCTV footage idea finally strkes Kunal😕.
*Even though under the influence of bhaang , Holi gave us beautiful SINAL scenes and Kunal telling Siddhi he loves her👏.
*Siddhi stupidly gets kidnapped and we saw Kunal pine for her and set out to save her.
*Siddhi gets shot and we saw Kunal's fear at losing her and him dying to tell her he loves her.
*Wonderful hospital scenes that expressed Kunal's love for Siddhi much more than words ever could say👏.
*Kunal traces out Rohit.

So basically even though it was Siddhi fighting the case , Kunal equally contributed at all levels and more importantly this phase strongly rested on KUNAL discovering and dealing with his feelings for Siddhi.So the dejected angry young man discovers LOVE.

Apr(2nd week) - May(3rd week)[Post Rape case]
THe TRP's fell for straight 7 weeks.What bought that about one may wonder, let me assure you nothing surprising.😡

*Siddhi's OTT performance for the last hearing.
*Siddhi got Rohit to confess , this when the audience waited with bated breath to see Kunal save the day😡.
*An acceptance of love between the leads that was forced by a unnecessary fire and relatives.
*And then came the '2 ghanta , 40 minute , 40 sec' episode 😳, everyone hoped to see Kunal romance his wife, but that was not to be😡.
*When ideally they should have shown Kunal and Sidhhi in the honeymoon phase of their married lives , they gave us a lame and ridiculous pregnancy.
*Again Siddhi discovers Gaurav's EMA , Kunal oblivious😡.

Well when Kunal was honoured with a furniture status and his wifey runs around like a wannabe JKR what else can one expect.

May(4th Week) - May(5th Week)

The TRP's climbed up a rung or two.After all our Telly Bachchan was in action again👏.

*Kunal finds a job👏(even though he does not hold it for long😡)
*Kunal discovers Gaurav's EMA👏
*Kunal takes up the responsibility for the entire household👏

And we the audience rejoiced thinking 'Yoohooo , Kunal Chopra's parichay is just around the corner).😊

June(1st Week)- June(2nd Week)

The TRP's initially fell but then remained constant the next week😊.

*New Richa's entry, need I mention about the eye popping asthamatic attacks we were subjected to😕?
*Murder mystery track introduced.
*Many articles of SINAL divorce.

Whoever wanted to return were stalled by rumours of SINAL divorce and new Richa!!

June(3rd week) - June(4th week)

The TRP's increased and stayed put the next week too.👏

*Kunal fought the case and stumped Thakral in the first hearing.Finally a court case being handled with some sense.
*Kunal was maturely handling his pregnancy hormone affected wifey👏.
*Kunal was investigating👏.
*Kunal was promising Siddhi to fight all odds to keep them together.
*Kunal saves Siddhi from Richa's murderous intentions.

Our darling Telly Bachcahn in action and even the TRP's managed to smile!!

June(5th week) -July(1st week)

The TRP's fall yet again!!

*Kunal in jail.
*Wannabe JKR all over the place.

You know guys the only question I have after this analysis is,

"To which elite club of morons must the CV's and writers belong that they cannot see the obvious?"😡

@Chits, that's a great analysis. Most of us sort of knew what led to the climb & fall in ratings, but you have spent time & energy in chalking it out in a concise manner👏

Balaji did a terrific job with powerful women oriented roles a decade back. Tulsi & Parvati became almost generic to strong women, until Ekta Kapoor decided to move away from the stereo type & announced a "male-centric" show.

Considering that we live in a markedly androcentric world where the male by default is the "normal" form of humanity, while the female is a subcategory (Fe-Male) this "new" concept should have been as easy as apple pie for the writers to adopt. Yet, the male in this 'male-centric" story has been undervalued to the point of being disposable, more often than is fathomable. Why is it that they have floundered in visualizing the story from the male perspective?
All they have to do is follow the original promos & let Kunal tell his own story, it is his voice we want to hear, his pain, his grief & his exhilaration, his triumph we want to feel... not Siddhi's.
