The symbolism of recent Parichay episodes.

Guys I am in a thinking mood and you shall not be spared the results of my pondering 😆 I am thinking about the story arc of Kunal and Siddhi's relationship. When Siddhi fell in love we got the Phir Mohabbat BG track. She was aware of it and we saw her go from a mature young woman to a shy, self conscious love struck teenager - going out of her way to please Kunal, she was hanging on to his every word, doing everything to keep him happy, becoming irrational at times, craving his attention, running around behind him, becoming mute, crying a lot, being terrified of disappointing him. In short she had become spineless. In the process many MUs were created and their relationship went downhill until the ME. That day Kunal's outburst made her realize that this avatar of hers was getting her nowhere, she was going to lose her love anyway so she decided to change tracks and go into her junglee billi avatar😆


For Kunal the journey has been different. We as viewers and he himself didn't realize when he fell in love with Siddhi until the grand I love you Siddhi to Richa on C-night. Since then he has been grappling with his feelings for Siddhi on one side and his guilt about loving Anand's love on the other. I think this guilt was making him push Siddhi away every time she came close to him. In the process many MUs were created. Until getting it all out of his system on ME day just relieved the pressure on him. He reflected on his actions over the previous few days and realized that he had been -at the least- unfair to Siddhi - someone who showed him so much loyalty and care. Since then he decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and be friendly to her for whatever time they are together. 😳

So what's happened now? We have Mr Chopra who wants to be nice and Mrs. Chopra who won't do nice anymore 😆 The tables have turned and how! Mrs Chopra aage aage and Mr. Chopra peeche peeche. The more she pushes him away, the closer he goes. Why? Because he realizes that he is powerless against the force of his feelings for Siddhi. To see this new side of Kunal- hopelessly in love, possessive, passionate and romantic, we've got a new BG track for him- Chahat (I think it's more for him) 😍 I for one am loving it 👏

I think the CVs are also trying to parallel the Hindu marriage vows somewhere in all this. For the first 4 pheras the groom leads and the bride follows and for the last 3 the bride leads and the groom follows and at the end they are man and wife. 😳 So once they are done chasing each other around the fire - and this is a test by fire for them - they will be one for life😊 ( Well I sure hope so!)

The desperation, the pathos, the hope of unspoken love ... Uff! It is heart wrenching and beautiful at the same time. I wouldn't mind this track for a while longer before we get the final confession, of course as long as they don't create more trouble between them.😡

Finally a round of applause for the writers of this show 👏 Yes the CVs have given us crappy tracks, evil villains, drama and more drama, dragging ... but in all of this the writers have done their job. The individual scenes have been great whether they be between Kunal and Siddhi or Seema, Raj, Gaurav, Richa or anybody else. The characters have been well defined and within all the drama, their integrity has been maintained. The dialogues have been awesome. Thank you writers and CVs please don't take us into the ditch again 😡

4 of the pheras were covered during Raveena's wedding in Siddhi's flashbacks, now in all likelyhood the remaining 3, Kunal will cover during shilpa's wedding. Only hitch is that Siddhi at that time had said to herself that Kunal has kept every vow even though he hadnt meant to make any such promises ( meaning...inspite of it being a marriage of compromise he'd kept his vows) If Kunal were to say something similar then that would obviously point to him not being aware of her love for him.

As for the rest, Annie, its a clear case of "playing hard to get" 😉 So far as she was being a door mat, he didnt notice her much, now that she is playing hard to get, she can't shake him off.
And we, Annie are going to enjoy the thrill of the chase as much as Mr Chopra😆

Beautiful analysis,I liked the 'phera' symbolism you applied and I do agree with you that the' chahat' song is from Kunal's POV.I too loved it , it clearly implies that he does want her no matter what.

@Red Yes that's why even though I think such a scene would be beautiful, it wouldn't be apt given the current scenario. I think now Kunal is almost sure Siddhi is in love with him so he can't say exactly what Siddhi said. But perhaps realizing that she has kept her vows to him will make him love her more if that's possible 😳

What you said is true the CV's have shaped up SINAL really well, even all the supporting casts are characterized beautifully and they all have significant roles, not like othere scenarios where they just scowl in one corner of the screen or smile.The best thing is the positivity about the characters.Even Thakral is a very likable villian😆😆.Ok Ritcha I plain dislike but the her character has been essayed well , if not we wouldn't her so much would we? I am waiting for Veena to recover but I believe even it will be handled beautifully.

But we as ardent fans should never stop criticising, we all want a beautiful show right??? 😃😃

One aspect is the technical side of the show, needs real improvement!!!!

@Bold of course we must criticise, it's just that I watch the show from an emotional POV so tend to ignore the technical difficulties. But yes the editing is really sloppy especially for yesterday's show and needs drastic improvement. Like Fari said somewhere the dance scene looked like it was shot by a monkey with a handy cam😆

😆 My mouth does tend to run away sometimes, but the dance scene & even the one where Siddhi thinks she's up on some great height & Kunal brings her down, were so botched up. That could have been such a cute scene, but instead we got some panned out shot of the holi ground & an out of focus Kunal-Siddhi in the far corner, almost as if someone had pushed the camera man by mistake.

Great posts! Loved them all And agree with your opinions. We as die hard fans love everything - The superb actors, the dialogues, the chemistry, the relationship of the characters etc. So a little cut and paste is ok but what is ruining the experience is the horrible, horrible editing. 😡 Some of the smaller gaffes can be ignored but they are getting worse by the day. They really have to replace the team of editors!
