It may make it more fun for us but trust me these segments are only serving as advertisements, that is so long as they are good! It's only helping a show like ours which anyway doesn't get any promos from the channel...Very few people actually watch SBS, SBB, and all these shows anyways unless they are an audience for a particular show (like us) or fans who are curious about what they will get to see next...it's a niche audience! In the grand scheme of things, not having segments won't drastically effect the general audience and corresponding TRP...but yeah it might make things more exciting for us!
