It's so strange as this is a remake of a show and you as well as some others here have mentioned how even in the original Shiva and Raavi had been the most popular pairing. Why they didn't just continue to follow that script. It seemed to provide everyone equal opportunity to perform without any character becoming unlikeable.
I don't understand the off-screen politics of this show but hope the deserving get better work prospects going further. It all seems so mentally and emotionally draining.
I still watch the original and the story os nothing lile what we see here. There has never been a 3rd angle for any of the brothers, no adultery, infidelity, bigamy of any sorts. Its always been about 4 brothers and their wives, their fights, separation, reunion and all the in-laws are side characters only influencing, bring negativity but they show how the brothers together overcome it all.
Kathir- Mullai - Shiva- Raavi here are indeed very popular and their characters have only evolved for good. Over the course of time they have evrn shown how Kathir has become a successful businessman with Mullai’s support. He also started as Jaahil, gawar, anoadh, gussail, but after marrying Mullai, they have shown his transformation slowly and it is commendable. Today he is a very respected man in the town. Soon they are going to have their first child, they are showing Mullai’s pregnancy very beautifully and how Kathir is taking care of her(
Bhabi is bhabhi, who has sacrificed for the family but never comes between the couples, she knows she is another bahu of the house, not their saas,
Another stellar couple - Jeeva- Meena (Dev- Rishita here), Jeeva from the beginning was an amazing character but what a transformation for Meena who started out as a rich spoilt brat married Jeeva and into a middle class family. Today her character has its own fanbase and she is such a positive, bold and likable person in the entire show. She and Mullai are the best bahus of all of them.
Last pair- Kannan- Aishwarya are the most problematic pair out there, they still have several issues, but the story is dealing with it one by one
Murthy, the older brother, is the angry man there, but much better presence than what they show here if Gautam. He is the patriarch and makes all the decisions in the family, not even Bhabima, such a string presence in his brothers lives and adores and respects his brothers wives, ardent supporter of the Meena, Mullai and Aishwarya, mire than his own brothers.
