I have written this story based on the biggest spoiler we got- The Kuan…( us in the title refers to Shiva and Raavi)

It is dedicated to the Shiva we desire..

The Ring, The Well and Us

Raavi was just going with the flow; she just wanted to be a part of the celebration. She did not want to but seeing Shiva standing next to Disha made her angry. In the heat of the moment, she dropped the ring. She tried finding it but to no avail. She realised that it has fallen in the well. She was glad that nobody saw it and taking it as a sign from God, she just went ahead.

Shiva, who was not at all willing to go ahead with the engagement was looking for a way out; the moment he spotted Raavi, he went to her.

“Chipkali, what are you looking for? Your brain?” Shiva asked Raavi.

Raavi got surprised but did not tell Shiva that she has lost the ring.

“No, your brain that is telling you to go ahead with this; I am looking for that brain.” Raavi said with utmost confidence.

Shiva did not bug her much and just went towards the main hall and stood next to Disha who was beaming with happiness.

“Bring the rings, Dhara.” Suman ordered.

“Mom, I cannot find Disha’s ring; I must have misplaced it.” Dhara said with a smile on her face that everyone noticed.

Everyone was relieved except Disha and Suman. Suman asked everyone to search for it but no one found it. Shiva’s eyes were on Raavi throughout the whole drama. After 30 minutes of unsuccessful search, Suman decided to go ahead with the engagement.

“Raavi, give your ring.” Suman ordered.

Everybody was surprised. Shiva was stunned at what non sense his mother was saying. It was enough for him.

“Mom, this is uncalled for. She doesn’t have to…” before Shiva could complete what he was saying, Raavi jumped into the conversation.

“Your son did not give me any ring so I am also without a ring.” Raavi said and just looked at Shiva.

“Mom, ring is not important. What connects you with your partner is important. We can have engagement on the wedding day. Right, Gaumbi?” Dhara declared.

After a lot of deliberation, the engagement did not go through. The guests left with a sad face, leaving a sadder Suman behind.

Meanwhile, Raavi was sitting in the room and smiling with what has transpired. Shiva was standing and just observing her. Just then, their eyes met and Shiva entered the room.

“Why are you so happy?” Shiva asked her.

Raavi scoffed and was about to shove him away when he held her hand.

“I have something for you and I want you to keep it.”

Raavi was just looking at him, unable to form words. Just then, Shiva placed “the ring” in her ring finger.

“Why are you giving it to me?” Raavi asked, choked with emotions.

“Because I did not give it to you earlier.” He said.

“It fell in the well.” She said totally confused.

Shiva raised his eyebrows, already knowing the culprit.

“It did not, I just let you assume. I found it the moment you dropped it.”

Raavi was looking at Shiva and was filled with emotions, unable to form any word. She wanted Shiva to say something. If eyes could speak, Shiva’s eyes were saying a lot. Still, he formed words to make that silly girl understand what this relationship means to him.

“It has taken me a long time to realise but finally, the ring and I are at the right place.” Shiva said closing the door behind him and giving a naughty smile to Raavi.
