Gangs of Somnath: Rishita's Training Comes to Use

Bikaner c. 2021

Even before Suman confronted her for the danda, Dhara knew something bad was going to happen. She spoke to her mother the night prior, especially when she noticed how suspicious Suman was getting, and her mother suggested to wipe out the entire Pandya family. Dhara agrees with Alpana's plan. She and Gaumbi leave for the temple in the morning itself. She knows that her agents will take of the rest, despite not knowing the entire plan herself.

Rishita is thrilled to know that Suman is completely against Dhara after finding out about the danda. Dev, though, is angry at her and leaves for Mukteshwar by himself. While at the house, she realizes that she is all alone, and that's when she sees strange people walking about the perimeter of the house. With a keen ear, she listens to the conversation and understands that those strange people were planning to blow up the Mukteshwar temple. Rishita realizes with horror that Dev, Shiva, and Raavi all went to the temple... Quickly, she decides to do whatever she can to save them. On the path to Mukteshwar, a few other men confirm the horror, and Rishita asks if she could drive their tractor to the temple.

Meanwhile, Dhara gets a complete earful from Suman, and for the first time she is absolutely terrified. No one has ever hit her in her life, Alpana including, and it seemed as though Suman would hit her. Dhara began the water works, trying to distract Suman, but Suman refused to listen, instead choosing to lash out at Dhara. Dhara doesn't understand how all her plans went to naught. She usually was meticulous with everything... Shiva and Krish wouldn't say a single word. Raavi preferred peace over fights, so she couldn't either. Dev was someone who was still learning how to put together his sentences, so no chance there... Dhara knew it had to be Rishita. She was absolutely frustrated. Even after being as nice as she could, showing preferential treatment to Rishita as opposed to Raavi (because kill them with kindness works), Rishita continued to backstab her. If she made it out alive with Suman, she would show that Rishita...

At the Mukteshwar temple, Shiva becomes conflicted about his relationship with Raavi. He's only ever wished to have a wife who would love him wholeheartedly. But... every time he sees Dev and Raavi... he wonders whether he is a third wheel. At the same time, Raavi is capable of making him lose sense and reason. Even with her anger, he finds himself transfixed to her. More than her outward beauty, he was attracted to the childish things she did. Like holding his legs in her sleep, always tasting her own cooking before anyone else and giving herself a pat on the back (despite being one of the best cooks in all of Somnath), and making sure to cook a dish that he loved even though she was angry with him. As much as he wanted to ignore her, he couldn't. She was becoming a permanent fixture in his life, and he had to do something about it. Unfortunately misfortune falls upon them. Without thinking, Shiva saves Raavi, and Raavi is shocked to see him so invested in her. No matter how he tried to hide it, she saw the pain and anguish when he realized she was hurt. She apologizes and they make up, putting aside their earlier fights.

Just when they lose all hope, Rishita comes in and saves them. As she pulls Shiva out of the rubble, he gets a glimpse of her police badge... and Shiva gains a new profound respect for Rishita. He understands how tough she was if she was able to hide her career to everyone, including her family of "crooks." Because he understands her impulsiveness and anger, he decides to call her Rishita bhabi from here on out (also being saved from his death was another plus point, so there's that). The family returns to the temple, water intact, and realize that Suman is kicking Dhara out of the home. Rishita is thrilled to hear this, but the brothers and Raavi are not. Dhara continues her waterworks and decides to "follow" Suman's words, walking as slowly as she could so one of the brothers can call her back. But none of them, including her so called husband, calls her back. She slows down her walking further because she honest to god has to stay in the house or she'll never get back that necklace from Krish. Luckily, the younger ones cry and Suman relents. Dhara participates in a YKB hug despite hating them. For the first time, she is thankful all these kiddos are brainwashed by her.

All is well, and the family goes back to business as usual as Dhara wonders how to bring up the Krish cross-dressing topic since he has been spending most of his time with Suman now. Plus, Anita has been a new thorn at her side, shamelessly oogling at Gautam. And instead of kicking her out, Gautam decides to keep her because Anita also makes good Maggi, like Dhara. And since Dhara refuses to make Maggi twice for Gautam, Gautam realized the only way he can eat morning Maggi is if Anita stays (as Dhara will make him his midnight Maggi!). So instead of getting back the necklace, Dhara is too busy wondering why and how that cockroach of a girl called Anita became a permanent member of the haveli. After making the morning Maggi for Gautam, Anita decides the best way to slide into Gautam's heart and remove Dhara is to throw out the left over oil. Dhara, being clueless, uses the most unhealthy oil in the market. She clearly does not watch TV to understand that Saffola oil is the healthiest oil. So Anita pours the oil out, too happy with the fact that Gautam enjoyed her morning Maggi to realize that she accidentally poured the oil down the steps where it would be a complete hazard zone... She also throws away the oil tin because it was old, and along with healthier oil, the Pandya family needed a healthier storage tin to keep that oil healthy.

Earlier in the morning, Shiva and Maami get into an argument, especially over the kangans. With her words, Shiva realizes that he and Raavi will never be able to start their relationship (and he was getting a little restless since they bathed "together" too and he was able to get a glimpse of all of her curves). So, he decides to use the inheritance money that Gautam had talked about. With the money, he would buy Maami kangans (even if he didn't want to, he had to respect that woman for raising Raavi). He doesn't tell Raavi his plans because he knows she would stop him. She storms away and slips on the oil. Before Raavi could hurt herself, Shiva catches her, causing Raavi's heart to flutter. They have a moment, but Shiva eventually looks away because he has a plan, and after he implements his plan, he would be more than willing to romance his wife. He later finds the oil tin with his razor sharp eyes. Anita realizes her mistake, but was able to slip by with her innocent smile. Regardless, Shiva is suspicious.

The following day, Rishita catches Shiva with a bag of money. Absolutely shocked, Rishita wonders whether Shiva is part of this scheme that Dhara was most likely cooking up. She follows Shiva, and is annoyed when Dev prevents her from her snooping. Eventually, she finds out that Shiva's money was from his inheritance money. She immediately cools down, but then becomes suspicious again when she sees Shiva's large gift. It isn't until she sees the plastic chipkali does she confirm that Shiva was in no way involved with the shady business happening in Somnath.

Shiva is less than thrilled that he is unable to buy her a great birthday present, especially since all that money was used up buying those kangans. Using the little money left over, he buys her a plastic chipkali since that perfectly explained them. Luckily, she was happy. Later in the night, he pulls her to the side, dancing with her alone. When he notices the interest in her eyes, he smiles and kisses her hand, whispering that he saved kachori and Chinese noodles for her in their room. Raavi becomes excited, and Shiva confesses he had some left over money in his wallet... if she really wanted to, they could go shopping and she could buy whatever present he could afford at the moment. Raavi becomes excited at the idea of the date!

Rishita calls her father and updates him on everything that has happened at the haveli. Janardhan was super surprised. He was so busy planning out how he would win over Shiva, planning and coordinating with the police. He didn't even have the time to check up on his daughters... and knowing that Raavi was almost hurt crushed him. He praised Rishita for her quick thinking, and Rishita smiled with happiness, feeling proud and happy knowing that her father praised her for the first time. Janardhan sneakily asks her for pictures taken during Raavi's birthday party. Rishita sends them and Janardhan becomes happy seeing both his daughters laughing and smiling. He also catches a glimpse of Shiva laughing, and he knows he made the right decision of trying to trust that boy. Shiva was full of heart, a perfect boy for Raavi. After he cuts the call, he calls his co-worker stationed at Bikaner and asks if the jeera kaand they were preparing was all set. The co-worker mentions everything is ready.

Janardhan cuts the call with a grin. After Shiva was captured and "jailed" by the police, he could have a slow conversation with the boy to win him over. And then he could take down that shady Pandya Store and restore peace and happiness to Somnath. Because in a peaceful Somnath, he would be able to watch all his daughters stay happy and safe.

Next Part: Shiva falls into the trap set by Janardhan, Raavi and Shiva have a romantic car ride, and Dhara doesn't want the Pandya Store to close as that is where all the major operations happen. Rishita decides to go back home now that her father is speaking to her.
