Part 3:

Shiva came out and saw whole family waiting for him anxiously… all had expected a huge fight between the couple. They looked at him with a little skepticism and curiosity…All are awaiting his decision…

looking at their weird faces, Shiva wanted to laugh for some unknown reason but kept his face impassive…

He knew he has to tell everyone about their decision but could not find words… Then he turned around when he felt a hand on his shoulder …. he saw Gaumbi was smiling at him…

Shiva: Gaumbi wo Raavi…

Gaumbi: pta h mje…

Shiva: jaise aap soch re h Gaumbi waisa kuch ni h… wo Dhara Babhi k liye ayi h…

Gaumbi: ye b mje pta h …

Dhara: pr mje uski koi jarurat ni h…tu usko jane ko bol de

Shiva: Bhabhi wo … he doesn’t know what to say

Gautam came to his rescue.

Gautam:” tu bhool ri h abhi in dono ka talak hua ni h… uska pura haq h is ghr me rhne ka.. or tuje help ki jarurat h tu maane ya na maane… tuje use gussa rhna h na to rh ..

pr ab mje is ghr me or koi tamasha ni chaiye…”

Raavi has also came out at this point

Gautam: sun lo tum dono ab mje koi jhagda ni chaiye… ni smj ata to mt baat kro 1 dusre se pr jhagda b mt kro.. parivar ki or beizzati ni honi chaiye…

Raavi and Shiva nodded and turned to go to their respective beds (Raavi to room and Shiva towards his cot)

Gautam: Shiva kaha ja ra h?

Shiva: kahi ni Gaumbi wo sone ja ra hu bs…

Gautam: to wha aangan me kyu?

shiva and raavi said nothing but looked down..

then he looked from Raavi to Shiva and understood…

Gautam took a deep breath…

Gautam: dekho… jb divorce tk sath rhne ka faisla lia h to saath me rhna pdega…

Mai koi zabardasti ni kr ra (when he saw Raavi and Shiva about to interrupt) tum dono me issues h … or tum itne bade ho k khud solve b kr loge pr bina baat kiye wo issues solve kaise honge? tum dono ne jhagda kr ke dekh lia.. tamasha krke b dekh lia.. ab chup chaap shaanti se ek dusre se baat krke b dekh lo… km se km insano ki trah ek dusre se baat krna to seekh hi jaoge… to mera decision yhi h k jb tk tum dono ka divorce ni hota, tum log sath me hi rhoge…

nobody can oppose Gautam… Krish chuckled…

Dev: ab tuje kya hua? has kyu ra h ?

Krish: Gaumbi aj pure babuji mode me h… ye mera final decision h…

Gaumbi striked him lightly on head …

Gautam: ho gya tera… chlo bht raat ho gyi h… sb so jao ya puri raat yhi khade rhna h…

everyone left for their rooms..

Shiva hesitantly entered their room..

Raavi: maine to phle hi kaha ta mai niche so jati hu .. tu upar so ja…

Shiva: nahi uski koi jarurat ni mai niche so jaunga…

Raavi: ni mje koi ehsaan ni chaiye…

Shiva: ehsaan mai kr b ni ra.. tu mehmaan h or hm mehmaano ko izzat dete h…

Raavi was hurt and Shiva knew it but he won’t let her sleep on ground..

Raavi: fir to mje is kamre me rhne ka b haq ni h… mehmaan hu na to bahar aangan me jakr so jati hu…

Raavi is not going to back down..

Shiva: tu pagal h kya.. suna ni gaumbi ne kya kaha…

Raavi: ha to.. tune ni suna… fir kyu bkwas kr ra h…

Shiva: to tu kya chahti h? kaise solve kre ise..

Raavi: hm turn se so jayenge..

Shiva: theek h aj tu upar so ja mai niche so jaunga.. kl tu niche so jana.. okay?

Raavi : okay…

they both are shocked when they realized that for the first time they agreed on something without fighting… but no one said a thing…

they will make this arrangement work atleast for Dhara Bhabhi and her upcoming kid…

Part 4:

As the days went on, they fell into a rhythm. Its not like that they are all the time cordial to each other, in-fact they both are still avoiding each other like plague because neither of them want to argue with the other…Shiva was feeling guilty for his reckless behavior and the way he has treated Raavi in past. Raavi’s selfless act is also nagging at him…

Raavi on the other hand is also not doing well.. she thought she came here for Dhara and will avoid Shiva at all costs… which is exactly what she is doing.. Dhara has also forgiven her seeing her efforts .. Suman was still distant but no longer taunting with the same ferocity as she was at the beginning…

but the thing which is irritating Raavi most is the silent treatment she is getting from Shiva.. though on Gombi’s insistence they pretended to share a room but Shiva was not the least comfortable and she has noticed that. either he comes late so that no one is around to question and straight away sleep in angan or late night when everyone slept, he will make his way out to terrace or aangan again… he avoided her at all costs…

so many times she tried to invoke a reaction out of him by doing things deliberately…sometimes by shaking freshly washed clothes in his face when he is walking by.. or pushing things or utensils when he is around just to grab his attention or get a reaction out of him but its like all the fight has left his body… earlier she was thanking her stars that she got saved from Shiva’s wrath but now she is getting frustrated…

apart from this, Rishita has become more lazy and paid no attention to household work she made her job the first priority even though Dev tried to reason with her multiple times.

the work has completely fallen over Raavi … she is handling everything quite diligently and everyone is noticing this but chose not to comment or appreciate her for their own reasons… she has also taken admission in masters …

though Dhara offered her money time to time but so far she has managed without her help and also not in mood to take any money from Pandya’s …

As the date of court hearing for divorce proceedings coming near, all are concerned what will happen as Shiva-Raavi’s differences are nowhere near to getting resolved…

everyone was hoping for some miracle because directly they can’t interfere … even after multiple lectures from different members, Shiva has made up his mind and did not deter from his stand..

but as people say, God works in mysterious ways.. this time God has chosen a female form to knock some sense in their heads..enter Rakhi.. Shiva’s ex classmate and friend

everything happened in a moment…Krish has forgotten his assignment at home and today being the last day he needed it urgently if he has any hopes to graduate… if Guambi or Dhara came to know about his carelessness he will definitely get beaten up ..so as usual he pleaded with all his might to Shiva to help him out this one time… so this is the reason why Shiva chose to leave a busy day at Pandya store to handover his assignments to him at college. however fate has something else in its store for him..because as Shiva went to drop Krish’s assignments, he by mistake bumped into someone.. this someone is very innocent looking, clad in plain kurta and jeans with stole around her neck.. she is young but doesn’t look like a college student… she looks vaguely familiar to Shiva… but he shrugged it off..

he muttered an apology and was hurrying to find krish when he heard the voice calling him out.

Voice: Shiva…

Shiva is confused .. how does she know my name…he turned and trying his best to remember her..

Voice: Hey Shiva … its you.. long time yaar… pehchana..?

Shiva has no clue for the life of him..

Voice: remember 8th standard, back seat… mere rubber bands ka stock tune hi khatam ki ta…wapas kb lauta ra h…

and the recognition hits his brain and he smiled(after so many days)

Shiva: Rakhi… hey bhagwan kitna bdl gyi h tu… kitni bdi ho gyi h… bachpan me jb dekha ta itni si ti tu… 2 choti bna kr ghumti ti …

Rakhi: or ha jo tuje bardasht ni hoti ti or tu hmesha khrab kr deta ta …

both were laughing remembering their childhood days…

Shiva: pr tu yha kaise? abhi b padhai chalu h teri…

Rakhi: ni bht padha maine… assistant professor bn gyi hu yha pr .. nayi job h… pr meri chd tune padhai kyu chd di ti in between ..kitna intelligent hua krta ta tu … mje to lga engineer bnega.. tere chakkar me science li maine pr tune to pdhai hi chd di or school k bad aj mila h…

Shiva got nostalgic remembering his childhood days and hardships they were facing due to which he decided to ditch studies and help Gaumbi… nobody knew about the sacrifices he made because he chose not to share his feelings or aspirations with anyone…and nobody needs to know now as well…

Shiva: are kuch ni.. tu chd na.. raat gyi baat gyi…

Rakhi sensing his hesitation: ha chl pr ab fir se gayab mt ho jana … milte rhna…

Shiva: ha bilkul.. hm class k baki logo ko ikkatha krte h .. milte h sb…

Rakhi: ha jarur… She doesn’t want to leave but she has to teach a class in 5 minutes…

Rakhi used to have a crush on Shiva since childhood but after school she along with her parents moved out of Somnath ..she has just returned back as a professor in local college… Her parents were pestering her to get married and that’s why she chose Somnath to be away from them and the topic of marriage… and to her surprise she met Shiva on the first day…

she is smiling remembering the exchange she just had with Shiva but unbeknownst to both of them someone else has also witnessed the whole exchange…

Krish and Raavi … Krish has his jaw literally hanging seeing Shiva smiling after so many days plus an added bonus that his professor is his brother’s friend … he will use it to his advantage.. the wheels in his brain started rolling

but the other witness is not so happy and shell shocked… She heard some snippets of the conversation but heard enough… Shiva? bright student? then why did he leave studies? and since when he has female friends? isko to baat krne ki tameez hi ni ti … she recalled Sneha’s words.. Is jaise kirane ki dukaan se kaise shaadi ki tune .. kya majboori ti teri warna ise to koi ladki apne aas paas b na fatakne de ..

on top of that her female sixth sense is sensing admiration in the way this woman was looking at Shiva?

is there more to him than meet the eye?

idk why but I totally adored that girl.. she is so simple and lovely…Raavi is beautiful no doubt but she is surrounded by superficial people… she really needed to see how good people look like… outside the world of Pandya family and Maami…

Shiva is appreciated… there are people in world who judges Shiva differently than what her small circle of people/friends
