The problem is to show the female leads standing up for themselves they will have to butcher the male leads to some extent.

Gaura's relationship is past the point of internal conflict, it's them vs the world now.

Devta conflict won't have that impact on the audience.

So who remains? Shivi.

They are going to Butcher Shiva's character first, then perhaps show raavi standing up for herself ( I am hoping so, though I feel they may show us her as bechari).

In Diya aur Baati Hum the male lead was super and supportive, though prone to occasional Mummy jaap. The female lead exposed fake godmen, caught terrorists and did other stuff with full support of ML. In return she supported the ML to win the cooking competition.

There were parts like the child swap stuff going unpunished which I did not like and some of the drama was certainly OTT But overall they did not dwell on a track for more than 15 episodes. Only the real important ones took more. TRPs were great. So people do like progressive MLs as well. Predominantly most audience appreciate the ML and FL standing together and giving it back. Looks like the writers have decided that GauRa are that couple in this show. Ideally should have been ShiVi and/or DevTa after the leap.

I do admit that had I not watched the Tamil original, I probably would not have felt this frustrated. I would have taken it as some drama track executed poorly and given the benefit of doubt. Maybe that's what the creators are banking on.

True but these characters are grey for a reason. Suman post leap is nicer to dhara but the one pre-leap was no less than maami. Her insecurities etc were understandable but in no way agreeable.

Her actions towards Dhara were abusive. Even now the way she held Rishita with the umbrella few episodes back is abusive. Chai or no chai - no person can do that do another forget about saas holding a bahu that way.

Kruttika Desai's portrayal of suman , her one liners especially to maami make suman funny and endearing to some extent but she isn't totally positive by any measure.

Suman has a bunch of people she calls apna - her sons and she is always good to them. Baaki sab ka depends on the situation and if they adhere to her liking or not.this makes her grey at best .

Prafulla doesn't consider anyone her apna. Raavi may be to some extent. She was abusive to Anita and maama too who are supposed to be her family. She hates all of pandya pariwaar inspite of good done by Darshan pandya. So that makes her more grey than suman .

Agreed DABH is one of the best shows.

Just bcoz it had Bhabho and run quite long, people doesn't see it.

But it had one of the best tracks, ml was super amazing and Fl was a good IPS.

I remember Bhabho killing her own son bcoz I don't remember correctly but I think he raped some girl that was the best thing happened on the show.

I actually like Naamkaran too Neil has to be one of the best ml leads in recent time.

He was a great IPS officer unlike other IPS on ITV.

He was actually husband goals, the girl Avni too was a strong character but I liked him more bcoz unlike other shows he was the reason why this relationship was soo strong.

Avni married him without telling him, still there was no revenge track but in return he became her saviour, protector. His mother didn't liked her but he always used to stand by Avni.

There was 1 scene where Avni's character came in question what I really liked that Avni was like I won't defend myself my family should have trust in me, but in return it was Neil who stood by her and showed mirror to everyone.

A TRP topper female forgave the male lead after being mistrusted because he apologized. What's the point? The beizzati cycle continues again.

The family got Scott free after committing a crime.

Anyway, the problem with PS is flaws and half baked tracks. Also, for those of us who think Suman is positive, she isn't. She has always been ruthless when she talks and archaic. I remember how she gloated about her being 5th pass and Dhara being graduate and still doing cooking.

She doesn't need the ml to take a stand for herself..at least she has her own mind ..if she won't forgive and walk away, the serial will end na 😆 and audience never appreciates women who walk away from their marriage ..its regressive but that's that..

Try ishq par zor nahi on Sony...wahan bhi there there taunting aunties but they r tackled so well by the heroine and supporting characters. Ekdum vat laga deti hai wo..chahe woh pati ho lover ho ya vamp...

Problem with ps has been the randomness and lack of logic. Wtf was the kangan kaand 🤢N now bedroom construction.. paise bachane ke liye online course on how to construct a bedroom?🤢 Planning sr and then sleeping on their bed N now this bacha drama..theek hai ek baar bol diya kisi ne. Roz yahi tamasha . In between they start dancing on random songs. jisko sabse dukhi hona chahiye , wo khush rehti hai but khush rehne nai deta uska pati they are so poor that they couldn't afford the labour for construction but they have so much money to celebrate festivals and have a dozen babies.

That explains why the shows nowadays are not doing well.

There was a time when shows used to cross 4+ trp easily.

Now even the most popular daily soap can't reach 4+.

2+ trp is taken as a big achievement.

No doubt people are fed up of the content and shifting to ott platforms.
