Dev-Shiva
I think yesterday Gaumbi rightfully pointed out that these brothers are nothing but kids at heart. No matter how much I crib about the man child trope of Pandya store, occasionally these men embezzle my heart. The revelation assortment today being Dev, who voiced all the discussions that we had about Shiva and Ravi‘s childhood connection, and Dev silently shutting himself away from two people occupied with each other.
Gautam had pointed out earlier that Shiva’s world kept spiralling around Ravi, and we also caught a glimpse of how Ravi and her diary entries had Shiva in most of her pages. It’s interesting to see that every time she mentioned Dev, there is also an observation of Shiva.
I am glad that the makers are not taking the regular “now that we are married and let’s be in love” route!
I am delighted that they are trying to explore the childhood anthology. We've mostly trolled Dev, but today, he came across as the most sensible human being.
Well, nothing could cheer up Shiva except a challenge thrown at him. I like the dynamics where we see a tiny hint of sibling rivalry, and undercurrent of covetousness from Shiva. From adolescence too, we see Shiva constantly trying to be the elder brother of Dev and not the other way round. These two had my heart today!
The way Dev expressed his woes in front of Shiva was heart touching too!

Look at Dev 😆

The slight hint of mischief on Shiva’s face!

Shiva is a child at heart! ❤️
