Raavi woke up feeling happier, she had decided to talk to her bhootnath about her feelings. She had fallen for him and wanted to know if he felt the same.a part of her heart knew the answer but she didn't want to take any chances.
She got ready wearing a blue salwar.she put light make up, and braided her hair like she did before.
Her phone rang.
" Mere gud morning Ka Jawab kyu nahi Diya? " Shiva complained like a kid.
" Socha aaj khud ake tujhe gud morning keh doo " she said
" Acha ..ab jaldi se taiyar ho ja.hame doctor ke paas jaana hai." He said
Her appointment.she had forgotten all about that. How can she be so stupid? She was acting like a lovestruck teenager whose world started and ended with shiva.
Sudhar jaa raavi.she thought to herself.
"Tujhe yaad tha? " She asked softly
" AE gadhedi, tujhse Judi koi baat kaise bhul sakta Hu Mai? " He Said
Her heart skipped a beat on hearing that.she blushed and kept her phone, checked herself one last time in the mirror and was about to head out when her maasi came in.
" Yeh itna Saj dhaj ke subah subah Kahan jaa Rahi hai Tu? " She asked suspiciously.
" Doctor ke paas " she replied.
" Akele? Mai ya Anita chalte hai na tere saath." She said .
" Maasi Woh Somnath ke bahar ek clinic hai.shiva jaanta hai unhe...wohi leke jaa Raha hai mujhe ..mujhe late ho Raha hai..Mai aapse baad Mai milti Hu" she left hastily.
" Are par.. " her maasi tried to stop her but she was gone.
Aaj ane ke baad mujhe usse Sakti se baat Karni hogi.ek Baar chut Dene Ka nateeja Dekh chuki hu mai.dobara wohi Galti nahi Kar Sakti.
Raavi ran to shiva who was waiting for her in his bike.she flashed a wide smile and twirled around.
" Kaisi lag rahi Hu Mai?" She asked excited
Shiva looked at her intently.she saw the raavi he knew from childhood. Smiling, full of life. She looked beautiful, but he was shiva. How can he praise her?
" Kaisi lag rahi hai matlab? Jaise hamesha Lagti hai" he said in a disinterested tone.
" Bhootnath " she muttered and sat behind him.
She held him tight by the waist, circling her arms around him and rested her head on his back.
Shiva stiffened at her closeness.her soft body pressing on his back.
" Yeh ...yeh kya Kar rahi hai ?" He stuttered
" Tune hi to Kaha tha... Pakad ke baith " she replied innocently
" Pakad ke baithne ke liye Kaha tha...aise chipkali ki Tarah chipakne ke liye nahi " he said
" Thk hai ..ja nahi chipakti " she said and left him to hold the back of bike for support.he frowned at the sudden loss of her proximity.
" Achaa...ab muh mat fula.jaise baithna hai baith " he said.
She smiled and held him again.shiva shook his head.
" Nautanki " he whispered
They reached the clinic. The nurse took her inside a room for ultrasound. Shiva helped her get on the bed and was about to leave when the nurse stopped her.
" Sir...aap Ruk sakte hai " she said
Shiva was a bit unsure. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable in any way. Raavi noticed his hesitancy.he has stood with him from the start and he deserves to be a part of this important milestone too.
" Ruk jaa shiva " she said softly.
Shiva smiled, came near her and held her hand.
The doctor came and started doing the procedure.shiva and raavis eyes were fixed on the monitor. He couldn't exactly make out what those black and white structures were. Raavi also looked on with confusion, narrowing her eyes trying to get a glimpse of her baby. She pouted when she was unable to make out anything. They both stared at the screen with utmost concentration when the doctor pointed out a ball like mass and said it was the baby.they then looked at each other with a blank stare.
Then they heard it.the baby's heartbeat.
Shiva stiffened at the sound.for him it was always about raavi.her health, happiness and safety but for the first time he felt a connection with the baby.he had never really thought of the baby as a separate entity from her, but now the realisation hit him.there would be a baby in their lives.a living, breathing,tiny bundle of joy. He felt a strange warm feeling engulfing his heart. he made a silent promise to himself to protect them from the world.Raavis eyes teared up.she was going to be a mother! Still she couldn't come to terms with this fact.
They left after completing some formalities.both the mother and baby were healthy. Shiva asked the doctor some questions he had noted down in his phone in the previous few days.
They walked silently over to his bike, both slightly overwhelmed.
Shiva dropped him off at her house. She got off the bike and gave shiva a warm hug and a peck on his cheek.he smiled at her gesture closing his eyes.
" Mai yeh sonography ki report Apne paas Rakh Lu? Woh Bhabi puch rahi thi tere baare mai.unhe bhi dekh ke Accha lagega " he said hastily adding dhara bhabis name. He just wanted to keep it with him as a memory.
Raavi nodded and gave him the reports.
Prafulla was observing her from the window and fuming in anger.
Raavi entered the house oblivious to the anger she was about to face.
She was startled when she received a tight slap from her maasi.
" Thodi bhi Sharam haya nahi bachi hai na tujhme? Aree itna Sab kuch hone ke baad tu khule aam us shiva ke Saath ghum rahi hai.beech raaste Mai use... chiii " maasi said with a disgusted expression.
" Maasi...aap galat samajh rahe ho...Mai..' she tried to give an explanation.
" Kya galat samajh rahe hai hum raavi? Mai dekh rahi hoo pichle do mahine se tere aur shiva ke beech kya chal raha hai.ab faltu ke bahane mat bana" Anita said coming near her.
"Areee, Dev ke Saath kaand karke tujhe akal nahi ayi Jo phirse khayi Mai kudne jaa rahi hai " maasi said hitting her on the head.
" Maasi ...shiva bilkul Aisa nahi hai jaisa aap samajh rahe ho...woh Mera Bahut khayal rakhta hai.use sach Mai meek Parwah hai " raavi pleaded with her maasi.
" Shiva Kaisa hai yeh hum bachpan se jaante hai.tu mat sikha " Anita said warning her by pointing a finger.
" Aree shiva Kaisa hai woh Baat chod. Log kya kahenge? Ek Bhai ke Saath so gayi aur ab dusre Bhai ko ghuma rahi hai. " Her maasi said
Raavi closed her eyes listening to her harsh words.her tears flowing freely.
" Are logo Ka bhi chod. Kya bhawisya Hoga tere aur shiva ke rishte Ka? Hann? Shaadi karega tujhse woh? ISS bacche ko apnayega woh?" Her maasi said shaking her.
" Yeh aap kya keh rahe ho maasi? Raavi Shaadi karke us Ghar Mai kaise jaa Sakti hai?Dev ke Saath ek chhat ke neeche kaise reh Sakti hai? Aur agar shiva ne ISS bacche ko apna bhi Diya to Iska future kya Hoga? Rishto Mai ulajh kar reh Jayega tera baccha bhi aur shiva bhi. " Anita said trying to put some sense into her head.
Raavi stood still.she had no answers to their questions.
" Ek Baat Yaad Rakh raavi.shiva pandya ke liye Uske parivaar se badhkar Kuch bhi nahi hai. Aaj Sab log Dev se naraaz hai, par kab tak? Ek maa Apne bete se kitne Dino tak naraaz reh Sakti hai? Aaj nahi to kal suman behen Dev ko maaf kar degi. Phir kya?" Maasi asked her .
" Phir kya fui? Dev ki Tarah shiva bhi ise apni Zindagi se bahar fek dega." Anita said.
" Are hum tere dushman nahi hai raavi...sambhal ja abhi se.phirse tujhe chot khate huye nahi dekh Sakti Teri maasima. kal se tu shiva se nahi milegi " maasi warned her.
She cried and hugged her maasi. Anita came forward and caressed her head slowly.
" Shiva ke Zindagi Mai uske maa aur bhabi ke alawa Kisi aur aurat ke liye koi jagah nahi hai. Dhara ek kasam de degi aur woh tujhse saare rishte Tod dega. Bhul ja use raavi. Bhul jaa " Anita said and hugged her maasi and raavi.
They made raavi drink water. She stopped crying and went to her room to rest. She curled up into a ball and tears started flowing again. She muffled her cries holding a pillow so as to not draw the attention of Anita Di or maasi.
Her dream world was mercilessly broken and she had fallen again on the cruel reality from which she had managed to escape for a brief time.
She remembered all her moments with shiva.her maasi and Anita Di's words rang in her head.
She knew she can trust shiva. Even after the heartbreaking betrayal she had faced, it was strange how easily she could trust shiva.but did he deserve all this? She knew him from childhood.he was a simple, hard-working man who passionately loved his family. He did not deserve his brothers mess. He did not deserve to be torn between his family and her.she loved him too much for that.even if he loved her immensely, was love enough to sustain them for life? Won't their love be burdened by the society, family and most importantly her past...a part of which shall forever remain with them.she clutched her stomach and another sob escaped from her mouth.
PANDYA NIWAS
Shiva was showing the sonography images to dhara trying his best to point out the baby. Dhara chuckled seeing his efforts.he described the entire experience to her like an excited child who narrates the happenings of the entire day to his mother.
Dhara's eyes filled up listening to shiva.she had done the upbringing of both Dev and shiva.one of them had destroyed an innocent girls life and the other was capable of loving with so much devotion.she caressed shivas hair lovingly feeling proud of him.
" Bahut pyar karta hai na raavi se ? "She questioned.
" Bahut" he replied spontaneously as if it was the most natural thing to do. He realised what he said and closed his eyes.
Dhara hugged him and smiled.he hugged her back.
They broke the hug.
" Abhi tak bataya use ya nahi? " She asked.
Shiva shook his head.
" Kis muhrat Ka intezaar Kar Raha hai? Jaldi se bata de ." Dhara said
"Bhabi...itna kuch hua hai Uske Saath. Pata nahi woh taiyar bhi hai ya nahi.mai jaldbaazi nahi Karna chahta. Kahi na Kahi mujhe Lagta hai ki woh bhi mujhse utna hi pyar karti hai par...." shiva sighed
" Pyar mai bahut takat hoti hai shiva. Mujhe bahut pehle pata chal gaya tha ki tere Mann Mai Jo raavi ke liye hai woh dosti se Kahi badhkar hai aur sach kahu to mujhe bhi darr Lagta tha. Par Dev ki galtiyon ki sazaa tujhe Aur raavi ko kyu mile ?.tu raavi ko Apne dil ki Baat bata Dr, baaki Sab Mai sambhal lungi " she said putting a hand on his cheek.
Shiva nodded with tears in his eyes.somehow his bhabis support provided a huge relief for him.no matter what he would stand by his chipkali, but it felt good to know that his bhabi was with him.
So gayi ? Shivas msg popped on raavis screen .
" Bahut thak gayi hoo.neend aa rahi hai. " The reply came.
Shiva frowned seeing the reply.was she ok? Maybe she was tired after the long day. But she never sleeps without talking to him.
Itna kya Soch Raha hai shiva. Thak gayi hogi.sone de use.kal Baat Kar lena.he tried to reason with himself.
" So jaa. Gud nitee " he said.
Tomorrow he will confess to her how he feels.though his actions must have made it clear to her , but he should give her the security and clarity she deserves. He couldn't sleep properly in his excitement. When will tomorrow come?

This was a stunning chapter.
My fave part was when Shiva replied 'bohot' without even thinking when Dhara asked if he loved Raavi. Poor Raavi 😭 she's paying for Dev's mistake alone, hope Shiva manages to confess to her. I have so many questions about how this relationship will work, Dev will always be a part of their family so I wonder how their equation will be. Looking forward to finding out these answers in the upcoming chapters ❤.
