Second, as usual your post opens up a new way of thinking & analyzing the episode! I honestly skipped through Dhara’s scenes so didn’t pay attention to the dialogue. But you make a very valid point! Rishita represents Dhara’s fear of letting go of control and accepting change. As much as she wants to be happy for her kids, she’s scared and doesn’t truly want to give up control. She doesn’t want to lose that authority. Perhaps that’s why she made a complete mess out of this. This wasn’t as well thought out as she claims it is and even Gaumbi is unaware of the darker emotions Dhara is dealing with. It’s not what it seems on the outside. I wish she would share these feelings with someone. Hardik, a friend or even a therapist (someone outside of the fam). And I hope Suman picks up on it and gives her the much needed advice & support. Dhara should begin focusing on her own life. It will give her a renewed sense of purpose and she won’t feel such strong emotions of despair and fear.

Also her tone when replying to the dream Rishita was bitter. I caught the tad end of that scene and that’s how I felt. I think the biggest issue is ITV refuses to make their FL’s human. If they had presented this track with real emotions and kept Dhara a bit grey, I think we all would have felt for her. And would have rooted for her to come out of this phase and grow as an individual. This could have been an excellent track leading to conversation and debate.

I think Suman very subtly hinted today, saying that they’ve dealt with enough responsibility to date! Now, it's time to focus on themselves. Rightfully so, Dhara, in her quest to conquer and micro-manage, is making a mess out of their already complicated lives. But, sadly, this is ITV, and all that idiotic drama is taking a toll on the storytelling. Can't tell but something that is wrong with even Shivi scenes. They don't excite me anymore.

Thank you! I agree! I just hope Dhara understands that while it was a subtle hint, it’s an important one. I really appreciated Suman saying those words. Gaumbi and Dhara both deserve a chance to live for themselves. Sadly like you said, it’s ITV so she’s a FL first and Dhara after. They could have written this in a million and one interesting ways. As with other shows, they chose the route that is possibly the worst.

@Bold I feel exactly the same. Part of it for me is what I discussed in that long post of mine the other day. The tension and depth is missing. Another thing I noticed (and nothing against the actress) is that Alice just like Shiny appears tired and a bit lost (at least to me). Somehow I don’t feel like I’m watching Raavi anymore, be it Raavi 1.0, 2.0 or whatever. It can also be the writing but I feel like she’s a bit detached as well.

With Shiva, it’s the other way around. KD still has the same level of energy but the writers are losing the intensity Shiva had in the beginning. ShiVi’s interactions used to be bursting with tension, intensity and a sexual attraction. Somewhere that is lost. I don’t mind lighter moments and nokjhoks but it’s becoming mundane. And everything seems to revolve around the fact that they are married. Not to mention the focus is hardly on them anymore. The scenes and episodes don’t contribute anything to the individual characters nor are we getting much with regards to their relationship with each other. I hope I made some sense but I def feel a sense of detachment 😆
