But I don't like Suman always talking bad about Rishita's clothes. She's still sticking to the mentality of a covered-up bahu being the best bahu.
As much as I agree, I'll give her a pass because of the age and generation she's from.
And this "conservative" nature is true amongst my American friends and even colleagues. When they talk about what they'd wear when they go visit home for Easter or thanksgiving, it's typically around I need to buy this, xyz outfit or I need to wash xyz outfit as the grandparents would be there.
And same courtesy is applied for the conversations you have. When we used to go visit client, we were fairly young group, but our partner would caution us and be like this client is like our grandparents age, so be cautious of the conversations when we go out for lunch/dinner with clients. Even in brakeroom room, we all talk with no filter about our frustrating clients, but if elderly admin is about to walk in, we always warned each other "kids are in the room".
But from practical pov, I don't know what's revealing about Rishita's outfit that isn't in saree or lehngha. Doesn't saree/lehngha reveal abdomen? But that's true wlwith everything. Lol, you'll wear outfits like these, where kurti and leggings. Or have slim Dupatta draped tightly over neck and doesn't cover cleavage, but the minute duppa is off, FL becomes conscious of no duppata and covers her front as if wearing duppata would have covered it.
