Did anyone watch it on TV? My mum feels like the adverts were lengthier than usual, and feels like the adverts have increased. I think she thinks they've reduced the beating parts but she can't say so for sure. She no longer wants to watch and is probably going to leave it because she watched this purely for Dhara. After what she's witnessed she's shocked. Apparently I underplayed it 🙄. She's traumatised by Krish's shaking. She can't believe Dhara would shout at Raavi like this when she's partially responsible for her state, she even is shocked that out of all the things to shout at DevTa about it's the eating alone part. As someone who's been overwhelmed several times as a mother, she can't believe she didn't give Shiva and especially Krish a chance to wholeheartedly apologise, something she's given herself and everyone else in the house. It's fair to say she's abit dumbfounded at who this Dhara is. She's very traumatised by Krish's state!

You all are making me want to watch the OG show. I doubt I would understand it if I did 😔.

The original has definitely portrayed the family relationships far better! Unfortunately hotstar doesn't have subtitles for Tamil

I'm glad they cut at least some parts of it from tv.. but they literally showed domestic abuse. I wish they hadn't written these scenes that butchered the family relationships and all the characters except Shiva and krish so badly 😕

How will we root for this family to stay together again? Knowing these makers, we won't even get a good redemption track for GauRa. All we will get is scenes creating more sympathy for them

Kathir was also patient with Meena right from the beginning. When Jeeva would talk to him about Meena and the ruckus she was creating,he would always reassure Jeeva that things would get better soon. I absolutely love the bonding brothers have in the original. Here I see that only between Shiva and Krish.

The most important thing I like about the original till date is the real conversation that they all have doesn’t matter if it’s pleasant or unpleasant they just talk it out which is lacking here.

Yesterday they cut the slap scene. Couple episodes back when Raavi had the hiccups and shiva slapped her on her back it was also edited. Today I didn't see any editing, but maybe I was watching it on the wrong channel, I can see the UK and Indian versions.

Like you guys I hated todays episode. It didn’t make any sense, it was irrational and it was very painful to watch. 😭
Everything has already been said but did you guys notice the expression on Shiva his face when Dhara was shouting to Raavi??! Or was it of what Dhara said? What does his expression mean, it looks kind of guilty that Raavi gets yelled at maybe i am looking to much in it and it means nothing. 😂😂

And did Dhara said that the pooja will start from tomorrow?

I hope we get better episodes from now on 💕

Mullai (Raavi) wants to gift kathir (Shiva) something for this birthday but doesn't have money. She asks dhanam (dhara) for money but doesn't want to tell her the reason to surprise kathir. Dhanam thinks she isnt serious and does not give her the money. Mullai decides to sell her ring to get some money, however prafulla and Anita's characters come to know about this and they create a big ruckus in the house that the family is forcing mullai to sell her jewelry to support them.

Mullai is scolded by everyone except kathir. They give her the silent treatment. She later confides in him about why she wanted to sell her ring, and he defends her in front of the family and ensures they're not angry at her.

It was a really beautiful track that showed kathir how much mullai cared for him for the first time, and it was also the first time he spoke for her in front of everyone ❤️

Honestly GauRa both have lost all my respect! Gaumbi could have interrupted and snatched that stick from her. But he too stood their like a freaking statue with his occasional “Dhara tu gusse me hai” . On other days he will give his gyaan when not needed!! These two should seriously repent for their mistakes!!😡

While watching the.epi, the only thing which came to my mind is, what if the boys started bleeding ? What if the scars show up.tomorrow? What will dhara bhabhi tell suman? One spank was enuf (of course..counted as abuse ) but she continued to do this , and scream like that..

Thought she would tell rishita that u love to cook for dev separatelyndo it , and you love to insult me and my husband , continue to do it 🤣 Bec this is what rishita does.

Boy it was a long and lovely track

So it starts with Kathir and Mullai discussing about their birthdays when the house members celebrate Meena’s(Rishitha) birthday. Kathir mentions that they don’t really celebrate birthdays as a special occasion for anyone in the house, just everyone simply wishes the person and they pray in the temple.(totally won’t work for Pandya stores as they celebrated the 10 year anniversary for Gaura 😂 in the Tamil version, Meena’s birthday is kind of the first time they bring cakes and balloons and stuff. Makes sense for the setup in the Tamil story)

Cut to a few days/weeks/months(?)

(timeline is very dispersed in OG- so KM story actually develops over a period of 9-10 months. They did not drag the first few days of marriage like they are doing in Pandya stores. Ahh, pre-pandemic days...),

Mullai realizes she missed Kathir’s birthday. Somehow everyone else also forgets. She feels really bad and wants to get him a surprise gift. She tries to ask Dhanam for Rs1000, but Dhanam basically sweeps it off saying “why you need so much”. Rishitha catches on to this , and here is introduced the track of having separate incomes, in the most organic and relatable ways possible.

I’ll skip a few details, but basically after trying in many ways, Mullai is not able to get money for the gift(she does not want to ask her dad) and cries to Kathir that she cannot even buy him a gift. This is a beautiful scene as Kathir sees how much effort she is putting for him, and that is itself enough for him. 🥲
Mullai, being relentless, tries to pawn her ring. However her mother(Maami in the Hindi version) comes to know and creates a huge scene at Pandya house making it look like they have to run the house with her daughters jwelleery. GauRa and others get mad at Mullai, but she does not say why she pawned her ring. Later she cries to Kathir, explaining the reason, and he goes and respectfully supports her in front on GauRa without unnecessary drama. All is well with the family members.

Cut to next day, Kathir gets a ring from a roadside cart and tells Mullai, that the Rs 100 ring that she buys is enough for him(she earns Rs 100 doing some chores)

Later when Kannan(Krish) tries to take the ring( because he is like ‘anyways it’s an inexpensive ring’), Kathir refuses him. Mullai becomes ecstatic.

KM had my heart ❤️. I need to go back and see these episodes again 😢
