Waiting for next part

Here’s part 2 of my ff. This may extend to a 4 part ff because it’s turning out to be too long. I’m trying to include some little reactions by all the family members so it’s getting too long. Please bear with me.

Raavi was pacing around their bedroom. The competition was going to start in 10 minutes and she didn’t know what was going to happen. If she lost, it would give Rishita another chance to insult her. It was all due to her bhoot husband that she was in this mess. He was the one who encouraged her to give it back to Rishita, and he didn’t stop her from saying yes. She glared at her husband, who was sitting on the sofa and staring at his phone.

“Main itni tension mein hu aur tu phone mein ghusa hai?”

“Tu pagalo ki tarah idhar udhar kar rahi hai toh main kya karu?”

Raavi snatched the phone out of his hand. “Agar hum haar gaye toh humara mazak ban jayega Shiva. Rishita saari zindagi meri insult karegi.”

“Tu toh bare zor se chikh chikh ke bol rahi thi ki hum done ek dusre ko bohot achhe se jaante hai. Toh ab itna kyu darr rahi hai?”

“Main tujhe bohot achhe se jaanti hu par tu mere bare mein kuch nahi jaanta.” Raavi pouted. “Hum haare toh teri wajah se haarenge.”

“Ae chipkali, faltu bakwaas mat kar. Tujhe mere baare mein kuch nahi pata.”

“Sab pata hai.” Raavi said. “Main jitna ho sake tujhe ishaare se answers batane ki koshish karungi.”

“Ae mami ki behen ki beti, main teri tarah cheating nahi karta.”

“Oh jhoota. Agar tu cheating nahi karta na toh school life khatam nahi kar pata. Tu Science paper Dev se copy karta tha aur English, History, Geography mujhse.” Raavi replied.

“Haa toh tu bhi toh Science paper mein Dev se cheating karti thi. Aur Hindi aur Maths mujhse.”

This brought a smile to Raavi’s face. She remembered how Dev, Shiva, and she would sit together during exams and copy from him. He was too sweet to say anything to her, so she would copy from him, and Shiva would copy from her. Those were the days! They made a pact not to tell anything to Dhara bhabhi anything about the cheating. It was the first ever pact Shiva and Raavi ever made together.

“Aap dono ko niche bula rahe hai.” Krish came to call them.

Raavi closed her eyes and said a quick prayer and went down with Shiva. The whole family was gathered there. Even Maami had decided to join them together. There were four separate chairs kept for them. Dev and Rishita had already taken their places, and Shiva Raavi took theirs. Everyone else took their own places. Only Krish, Anita and Dhara remained standing. Rishita gave a sly smile to Raavi and Dev looked embarrassed about the whole ordeal.

“Toh aaj main hu aapka host aur aapka dost.” Krish started. “Dhara bhabhi questions puchegi aur Anita di points count karegi.”

Anita had set up a whiteboard and had made two columns. One was for Dev-Rishita and the other was for Raavi-Shiva. She gave a thumbs up to Raavi and wished her the best of luck.

“Yeh questions banane mein mujhe sabne help ki hai.” Dhara said. “Aaj jo bhi jeete ya haare, yaad rakhna hum ek family hai. Aur haar, jeet toh lagi rehti hai zindagi mein.”

“Yeh bhagori ki beti bohot bolti hai. Shuru karo chalo. Hume sona bhi hai, puri raat nahi hai” Suman said.

So they started. Krish took the centre stage. Rishita looked excited. Shiva wondered how amazing it would be when she had to cook and wash their utensils tomorrow. It would give him great pleasure to see her manicure destroyed. He was sure it would make her cry more than his bhoot prank.

“Aaj hum sab yaha ikkattha hue hai Shivi vs Devta challenge ke liye.” Krish started. “Ab main dono couple ko aap sab logo ke liye introduce karunga. Devta se shuru karte hai.” Krish walked over to where Dev and Rishita were sitting. He stood behind them and continued, “Yeh hai humane bhai Dev aur yeh hai humari bhabhi Rishita. Humare Devta ek dusre se mile do saal pehle college mein. Tab se shuru hua unki prem katha. Par yeh baat alag hai ki hum logo ko yeh Devta ka jhatka mila bas kuch hi din pehle aur hume pata chala ki humare Dev babu nikle ek number ke chupe rustam. Aur Rishita bhabhi ke baare mein kya kehna. Inko toh bas Dev chahiye pizza khilane ke liye aur selfies khichne ke liye.”

Then he moved towards Shiva-Raavi. “Inse miliye, yeh hai humare pyaare Shivi urf Tom and Jerry. Yeh mile ek dusre se pata nahi kab. Par purane photo album ke hisab se Raavi bhabhi aur humare Shiva bhaiyya mile jab Raavi newborn baby thi aur Shiva baby ro raha tha side pe. Inn dono ka toh rone-rulane ke rishta hai.” Shiva tried to hit Krish but he moved back. “Bachpan se leke jawani tak humare Shivi ek saath hi paye jate the, jhagadte hue. Humare Shiva bhaiyya urf bhootnath urf gadhera urf chipkala urf pishach Raavi bhabhi ke pyaar mein toh aaj tak nahi gire but gussa bachpan se bhara tha inme. Aur humari Raavi bhabhi urf mami ke behen ki beti urf chipkali urf bhootni urf Shiva ki chudail urf main bolte bolte marr jayunga par yeh urf khatam nahi hoga. Raavi bhabhi ko bas humare Shiva bhaiyya se jhagda karne se matlab hai. Kuch bhi ho bas Shiva, Shiva, Shiva. Gusse se ya pyaar se, aaj tak nahi pata chala.”

Raavi couldn’t stop blushing at Krish’s introduction of her, and Shiva looked angry as usual. Dev was embarrassed and Rishita looked slightly annoyed, but the rest of the family couldn’t stop laughing. Krish had somehow described both the relationships perfectly.

“Rishita bhabhi aur Raavi bhabhi ne ek dusre ko challenge kiya hai. Ab dekhna yeh hai ki kaun le jayega, best couple ka award, yaani ki ek din ki chutti. Aur kise karna parega ek full din ka kaam. Ab main bulata hu humari sabse favourite Dhara bhabhi ko, jo iss competition ka pehla sawal puchegi.”
