Actually many pakistani dramas before TB era was like that...the leads story start after 50% of the show is over...for eg-Yakeen Ka Safar...
But today's audience(including me
) doesn’t have the patience because of less attention span.. for me the main thing that matters is how the show ends...not how they hook the audience in first initial episodes and than destroy in later episodes.
I am still waiting to see how Bilal Sadaf relationship develops...I don't want to give my verdict for this show before that because that is the main track.
Because today we have fast paced OTT content, micro series etc. due to which are attention span has reduced and many like the masala, fiery kind of quick fast paced romance oozing with chemistry than love stories where leads are apart for such a long time.
Even in SMD people are actually waiting for BilSad to marry and if that doesn't happen then the show might further lose more audience...BilSad wedding is the hook tbh.
I do not mind slow pace as long as I can enjoy the episodes. Yesterday's episode was not very enjoyable for me coz there was no story progression and neither any new piece of info was shared..it was kinda repetitive. I enjoyed Tuesday's episode a lot.
Even I am not giving any verdict tbh, I am just going with the flow and forming opinions based on per episode. I hope BilSad get married but I guess Ammar & Sadaf's wedding might go through and then a leap post which they are separated but it would only stretch the story. I rather have a twist where BilSad indeed end up getting married. For now chances of the former are higher.
