It's like first saying oh it's not trending, and then oh it is trending but then views are less ..oh but not trending in Pak but oh top 10 doesn't matter, Geo's GRPs do not matter, competitive slot do not matter...YT doens't matter....it's liking finding a reason to diss it. 😂😭

The reality is a bit more nuanced

if we look at 7 weeks of trp for SMD:

• SMD was #1 among Geo shows 3 times, at #2 spot 2 times and at #3 spot 2 times. So 4 out of 7 weeks, it was not top-rated show for Geo.
• If I look at average TRPs across the 7 weeks for SMD and other Geo shows, SMD had slightly lower average TRP than Dil-e-Nadaan (which used to go up against KMKT).

SMD having similar-ish trp performance to a show like Dil e Nadaan is nothing to boast about honestly.

Just for my knowledge, are u also taking into consideration the YT views, the slot and over all Geo GRPs?

Also, if a show has slightly higher ratings than SMD on a less competitive slot, higher GRPs channel and has barely any YT views. Would that be considered better than SMD and a hit ?

Just trying to understand all the parameters of a show being termed a hit or average or a flop.

PTV shows has had alcoholic characters that later change. In Pul e Sirat, Fahad Mustafa was an alcoholic. Ayeza played his wife. He finds religion and gives up alcoholism because of his wife. In Mann Jali (another KRQ drama), Mikaal was an alcoholic and a playboy. He repents towards the end when his life is upended.

But in all seriousness, we get nothing out of this guys. Watch if you’re enjoying, don’t watch if you aren’t. Of course it’s nice when the show you enjoy is doing well but at the end of the day, it shouldn’t really impact viewers.

**** This isn’t a dig at you Hypno. I appreciate all the work you put into your stats. I’m talking about others on social media who don’t watch the show but are obsessed with hating on it.

Either way, the pacing would have most likely made people lose interest to watch live.

Tbh I like his frustration..that was really out of syllabus..Thank God they have shown Bilal Abdullah 's frustration...and for a change I liked the fact..!! His heartbreak and frustration totally makes sense...
