Even the scenes they get are so absurd. First one she’s selling herself and it takes all the attention away from their first meeting to the ick factor. Then second meeting GOD the crying crying and drinking paani and the million pauses. He took forever to tell her the good news while she was chewing on the bad news. Not to mention what was that phone call about then the night before? Why was she happy then? Yeh kya tha. Koi logical sequence tha es build up main?

Matlab… people are trying here man. But the script and execution is hell bent on irritating us.

When she first finds out she rightfully thinks that Ammar is exaggerating and Sadaf is pulling his leg. Because the amount is so absurd. Then when she finds out it’s real, her first reaction is that Sadaf is in trouble and there’s a problem - she doesn’t jump to the affair. And we know it’s true that yes Sadaf has a problem. She confronts Sadaf about it the very next day and what does Sadaf madam say? Oh she’s going to America for shopping smiley44 Then she flaunts the 8 crore again and says leave bhi sanction ho jaye gi. That’s when Humsha got worried. Aur banta bhi hai. Even if she doesn’t have a crush on Bilal, how tactless Bilal and Sadaf are being about this whole thing, any workplace rivalry ke ingredients puray ke puray hain. Then she tells Bilal too that 3 months leave on first day is a ridiculous request - and we all know it is, when you don’t know what’s going on. Phir she even makes the effort to confront Sadaf again to warn her what image is being created of her because of the 8 crore and 3 month leave. To which Sadaf had the clownery to act surprised. She also believed Sadaf when she says keh baad main bataaon gi. Same thing she said to Ammar. That when problem will get solved then she will let them know.

In all this the only illogical thing is Sadaf not confiding in her friends. And expecting blind trust in return when she herself did exactly what they’re imagining her to have done.

But yes that hug was weird. Therapist / messenger bani hoyi hai Humsha. But it’s obvious writer wants to drag the reveal. It makes no sense as to why this has to be hidden from Sadaf’s friends.

The way Humsha reacted is not how a concerned friend would. I’m not blaming her for assuming anything and she isn’t as dumb as Ammar so she didn’t jump to conclusions right away. Whatever she said wasn’t out of concern, she told Ammar that she doesn’t want to be friends with anyone whose “moral image” isn’t upstanding. Why is she getting caught up with the drama Ammar dragged her into? Sadaf never told her directly about the 8 crores. Everything was accusatory in nature. I didn’t feel like she was trying to help her like a friend would. I still think it’s her jealousy talking more than anything.

The thing with Humsha is that she isn’t straight up bad. She shows concern sometimes like she when she apologized to Sadaf. But then why didn’t she clarify to Ammar that nothing is going on between Sadaf and Bilal instead of letting him believe what he wants? Also why does Sadaf have to consider Ammar’s feelings like Humsha said? It’s not like they’re going out and she’s cheating on him. That’s a silly reason. I think we’ll keep seeing two sides of Humsha for a bit. She will show real concern over Zaviyaar once she finds out but Bilal’s concern over Sadaf will bother her. There’s more to Humsha obviously that will make her character more interesting.

For now though, she comes off as a busy body running around the office gossiping with a guy who can’t hold it together. I found them amusing to be honest…they kind of made me laugh. I’m a bit done with them now though. At least I’m done with Ammar’s crying.

I’m not saying that everything Sadaf is doing is logical but I don’t know if these are real type of friends she should be confiding in anyway. I blame her for mentioning the 8 crores to Ammar. Emotions were probably high. This doesn’t by default make Humsha rational in anyway.

They should have edited it better and lingered on him a while longer. It was just … off. Rest of the scene was great and the actress who plays the escort was a good actor and beautiful as well. They had nice back and forth in their talk

That didn't bother me that much and I had chalked it up to an editing problem. It really felt like koi shot beech se cut hai. But seriously jahan camera linger karna hota hai wahan hyperrail ki speed mai bhaga diya. aur jahan bhagana hai wahan camera 50 seconds tak linger karta hai.

Maybe it’s just me but I’m not finding anything wrong with Maya’s acting. I actually think she’s quite good.

The phone call wasn’t handled well. I’m assuming he told that her that he escalated getting the Visas for them so they can leave earlier. They should have showed the other end of that call with Bilal. Their interactions are not highlighted as much as they should be however I liked their scenes together.

The pace is my only issue. The illogical stuff is in almost everything including some of my favourite shows. I’ll notice it and move on usually.

Compared to Ammar’s Zeher saga and endless crying and Sadaf’s solutions to her problems and lack of self insight, Humsha kafi behtar hai. But yes she’s a reactionary character so far who’s reacting to whatever is going on around her.

I find her scenes with Ammar too much also but at the same time I don’t blame them for their conjecture based on how little they know and what they know. Judgement banti hai. Even Sadaf’s mom judged her and came to same conclusion tou friends kya cheez hain. And mind you they are judging her for something that DID happen from Sadaf’s end. She DID insist on sleeping with him because she doesn’t believe in loans 🤡

Like I said, even if you keep the crush thing aside, they are employees working under the same man. Your boss is giving one employee 8 crores and 3 months leave. It will make anyone pissed keh what gives, you know? At least koi confidentiality agreement hi kara leta BA Sadaf se. They weren’t tactful about the deal.

I just feel these critics do not have a thorough knowledge of film making and simply give reviews based on their own preference just like the normal audience.

When it comes to Humsha, her character we are yet to know what exactly is her agenda. she has no stakes in the story so far..She likes Bilal that's for sure but constantly gaslighting Ammar is what makes her character boring for me!

If the scene you mentioned was Bilal looking at Sadaf scene, I agree with Aamna. I don't watch Sun Mere Dil but I somewhat follow the reviews. They played that particular clip in SH review and I felt that Amna was right because the expressions were not compatible with that scene. And as far as I remember she didn't say psychotic. And she said that after that particular scene his expressions were apt.

Maya is average in most of her scenes, She was really good in one scene with Zaviyaar

She was below average in 2 scenes but she was lucky that even Wahaj was not even his usual best

The problem here is not Maya's acting but Sadaf the character

If they are going to make her fall for Ammar then it will look worse

Daniya ko jhoot kyu bola

Suicide attempt se Maan gyi

Pehle kyu itni harsh thi asking him to eat Zehar

I don’t think the conjecture is the issue but the way they are handling it doesn’t feel like it’s coming from a place of concern. Quite honestly as a friend, I would genuinely be concerned about finding out what problem my friend had especially if I found this out of character. Even if I were to jump to conclusions, my main focus would be to help my friend. How is she consoling a delusional Ammar but not showing the same concern for Sadaf? Once she was convinced something is going on between them, she didn’t want to associate with someone who she felt is beneath her. She wasn’t concerned in figuring out why her friend, who never does anything like this, would be going to such great lengths. Clearly this was also set up to show Sadaf that Bilal, who she had propositioned earlier doesn’t think less of her but her friends who know her do. Agreed that Sadaf is to blame for telling Ammar, but Ammar is the one gossiping behind her back and sharing everything including his own assumptions with Humsha.

I worked in HR for many years and can tell you that almost everything is a violation. I mean there most certainly is favouritism and nepotism to the very least. Not just in this show but I can find an issue in almost every show. So I can understand the jealousy. I’m just pointing out that jealousy can bring out the worst in a person. I think we see that with Humsha sometimes. I feel she wants to act cool and collected but lets her emotions get the best of her. Let’s see though. I’m sure there will be instances where we will feel for her character.
