My only issue is pace and less screen space which have improved over the last 2 episodes.

Coming to something different. Since he signed only SMD post TB which is not in a similar space, we are yet to see what his next would be!

Bilal is a different character I agree...there are lot of good things about Bilal and I personally feel it can be one of Wahaj's best but somehow his character buildup is such that I couldn't connect to him in last episode much and sometimes I just lose connect in some of his scenes..!!

Also Thanks for respecting my opinion smiley31

You can take a mini break if you are not enjoying the show. At the end of the day we are all watching shows for enjoyment. If I get bored of SMD at some point then I might stop watching too. As of now I am enjoying the show barring Ammar and Humsha's insufferable scenes 🤣

And there is nothing to thank me for. Not everyone is going to like what I like and vice versa. Shows ke liye itna stress nahi lete 😀

And a lot of dramas are actually niche and made for a niche audience with the aim of creating social awareness...DNUTH was one, it neither garnered views nor ratings. ...SMD certainly is not a cause based drama but it certainly isn't a massy, masala drama like Iqtidar or TB for instance! Like I said it has a old school charm which many might not enjoy! This has a different kind of romance than those masala romantic serials.

It's been 13 episodes, so one needs to wait and see if they have milked Wahaj's name or not. I actually prefer Bilal over let's say Fitoor, DNUTH, GPM etc.where he had barely any role!

Bilal is definitely a strong role, I am just hoping for more focus on him in the coming episodes.

I agree about DNUTN and GPM but other roles were gr8

Basit who was imperfect but had substance that despite being selfish people preferred him with Bela even when laddu was a green flag.

JBG is his best role till date.He was awesome as Rumi

I prefer his Hamza in Fitoor to Bilal here

For me the issue here is connecting to Bilal like I said there is nothing i came to know about this character after 12 episodes that I was not aware of through teasers

And yes I definitely feel it's a show for masses becaue the crisp is missing but that is my perspective you can feel otherwise

Actually by for masses i dont exactly mean masala

I meant something like Sawariya ,that the maker though was a painting and everyone will like it ,the intention was to woo everyone but the product lacked substance

Rumi's character wasn't explored well and neither was given enough screen space...his end was horrendous with no focus whatsoever. GPM was a cameo. The story was entirely of the female lead.

Hamza was simply a brat who was plain reckless....he vanished after 10 episodes and re-entered after more than half of the show was over only to meet a very weak and rushed ending. It was horribly written as per me. It was only Wahaj's performance that saved the character.

Basim indeed was the best out of the lot, unfortunately very underrated.

I prefer Bilal over Hamza any day! I am enjoying SMD and Bilal hence I am watching the show.

Ishq Jalebi was very well written and Wahaj knocked it out of the park. Yes Jo Bichar Gaye was phenomenal but very niche with limited views. Same goes for DNUTN…not just that but he didn’t come into the show until much later. Loved him in Fitoor but again a 2nd lead. Would we honestly be ok with him being a second lead and missing entirely for multiple episodes? And why would he do that at this stage?

Wahaj Ali

What did SH people say that everyone is reacting so strongly? I watched their review and I didn't find it offensive at all, in fact, it seemed like Hassan was disappointed about the numbers it was doing

Lets get real, when Geo said they are making a love story, none really wanted this, we wanted a good story, ghisa pita with 80% time of leads, none wants extraordinary acting, all I wanted was a normal drama

They started with trauma, one death, suicide, terminally ill brother and lead character who will die

I want to understand why do they want their audience to watch it at 8PM?

Even if Hamza vanished and re-entered he was horribly written. I mean come on, instead of giving him an impactful ending they ended up showing him lying on a hospital bed getting married to his cousin! It was so underwhelming! I hope Wahaj never goes back to doing such roles.

Bilal has far more aura and prominence plus far better written. SMD might not be for masses who enjoy masala love stories but i guess it has it's own section of audience who will like watching it.

That's how love at first sight stories work! One may like it or not but to find logic in it doesn't make sense to me. Coz in that case love at first sight itself is illogical but most of the iconic and classic love stories are indeed love at first sights!

The pacing slow but Bilal's character is etched well, even Sadaf's for that matter....a rich guy who is lonely, is an alcoholic...he crosses paths with a woman who catches his attention and then when he comes to know that he indeed is Namdar's daughter, his attraction slowly grows deeper ...the more he hears about her, the more he falls for her....he is not a bad guy, just misunderstood and perceived as a bad person.....he believes in doing Good without announcing to the world about it.

Thaf's how male leads usually are of love stories...here the focus is on his one sided love for Sadaf

Wahaj is performing really well and in fact when it comes to Bilal's characterisation, I have no complaints whatsoever.

My issue is witb the pacing and over focus on the side characters instead of of the leads especially Bilal

This, we’re acting like love at first sight is a new concept and it’s actually been etched out here better than it has in most other cases.

No no when I compare the character I am not saying he should have the same screen space I mean despite having less screen space the character was impactful

Wahaj was not very popular during fitoor but many people liked his role there

I don't remember FQ's name but i remember Hamza

In no way I want him to be second lead but he had the judgment to say yes to right things even for smaller roles

Wahaj Ali

We have given them a lot of leeways, I have. I know if Wahaj wasn't here, I wouldn't be watching it so I understand what Aamna was saying, you are connected to him and Bilal Abdullah, I can't stop watching now but I am being forced to watch Humsha and Amar

They shot a huge scene at airport, they could give Sadaf and Amar scene there but not Sadaf and Bilal scene?

Do they know who are their lead characters?
