It was a surprise hit only. They never promoted it much looking at how other channels do it.

I am glad that they decided to release it in cinemas. It was so good to see them reward Bilal & Durre, they truly deserved it.

Yeah. More than Durre I am happy for Bilal. Also, having that much views and TRPs from a hum show is an achievement in itself.

People are still confused what worked for IM but if you look at social media buzz initially it was all Bilal & OST. Even the so called reviewers were saying that it was 80% Bilal & 20% other factors. The editor literally started putting him in every scene after a few episodes.

Do you remember what I said about MJ’s reception earlier? I knew it won’t get much buzz. A part of IM’s audience was watching it for Bilal’s beauty. I said they would find it hard to accept him as deglammed in MJ. But anyhow I’m so happy for him in MJ as well. Literally every person who’s watching loves his performance & have a deep respect for him to let Sabeena take the lead.

I think its a combination of Billu and ost that clicked. Even though I didn't watch the show. There were Bilal reels everywhere. Also, I am not fan of Durre but I think many like her, especially guys. Like it or not she definitely can attract audience.

Are you liking MJ? Please give me full verdict after its over. I will binge watch it. I hope its not very slow though.
