I have been seeing a lot of unnecessary shade and useless comparisons on X on the YT views of SMD's first teaser since yesterday. Here is the data to set the record straight.

Instead of comparing with Green which has fewer subscribers, a better comparator would be YT views of first looks of other Geo/Ary/Hum shows. All in all, SMD's first look YT views are doing well, considering it has just been four days

Note: I may have missed FT2 first teaser but that still keeps SMD in top 10 list.

while I believe SMD is doing really well considering its only few days since the release, a point to Note is that Terebin released its 3 teasers on the same day : 12 dec

2nd having 3.6m and 3rd having 4.9m views. So it's a bit of a bias there. anyway initial views on the teaser do not make a difference. Some do pick up well if the story is good. since SMD already has a good start, and with Wahaj helming it, I hope they do great

You assumed a lot more than I ever said or even intended

My point is not comparing SMD with TB only (there are 10 other shows mentioned) and they all did not necessarily release multiple teasers the same day. Btw, TB teasers aired 21 months ago. The viewership effect of dropping 3 teasers on same day would have eroded by now. But even if one uses TB teaser 3 views in the comparison, it still doesn't change SMD's position in the table or my conclusion. Remember this post is about SMD YT views not TB YT views.

I am only comparing views on first teasers as I have clearly specified. Once all teasers drop, I may do a comparison across all.

I am nowhere saying or suggesting initial views mean it will be a hit. I am responding to what I read on X where one side is saying the YT views are terrible for a channel like Geo with 50M+ subscribers, and the other side is comparing instead with GM on Green. A more apt comparison will be with other GEO ARY HUM shows.

All channels will gain views over time with increase in the no of subscribers. I believe none can be compared to another . As the timeline since uploading is different and each cater to a different set of audience, we cannot compare at all

I think you must have rounded down. For example, did you use 15M for the first ep or 15.7M. It's the later that's the correct value.

With trp or without trp gentleman is not a good script overall. These gangster version mid stories don’t stick to the plot and krq ruins female lead. I won’t go in depth of a show doing good trp wise or views wise. The dialogues of GM are enough to understand it tanked.

Story wise only kmkt is doing good for now hope it stays the same.

More than the views I m worried about the sanki writer of SMD

And the mysogynist things he keeps on plate

I hope Kadwani keeps him in check since his dulara2 is getting launched

I will prefer good story with very less views Jyada views but kachra story
