Today, meerab's behaviour was disgusting, IMO her slapping him isn't done, because life is all about restraint despite all the chaos the slap isn't out of character to Meerab. BUT spitting on face is awful, I could never imagine such a disgusting act with a loved one.

What’s interesting is that, I in no way thought of the marital rape angle when I saw the episode and the promo. Rather, I was just ticked that he locked her in the room. I actually just thought they had a big fight after seeing the teaser and/or she just ripped off her jewelry and cried her lungs out because she was upset. It’s called ugly crying. It’s only when I read other people’s tweets/posts here that the idea of rape was introduced into my head.

Even after the second promo, I honestly still don’t believe it. No way that Wahaj would agree to that. No way that Yumna would agree to that. JUST THINK FOLKS: Do we really believe, all the Yumna fans here, that she would say in an IV that Murtasim is not a grey character if he was a rapist/threatening rape? No way that even Nooran would write that because that doesn’t seem like her style for her ML. Maryam didn’t get raped by the rapiest of men, Zoobey, so I doubt she would do it here by Murtasim of all people.

Also, I can’t even imagine Murtasim threatening Meerab about rape. It would be the same backlash against his character as actually raping her. Even threatening rape is a low low disgusting thing. And that’s just not Murtasim. AND no character like Meerab would be shown to WANT to go back to a guy that threatens her with rape. Even the dumbest of writers would know that..Meerab isn’t made out to be a cycle of domestic abuse kind of a person. So no, I can’t see the threatening rape angle either.

So again, no way is it marital rape, in my mind at least. There could never be a happy ending that way. Meerab would never EVER go back to him after marital rape. And I don’t think that Siraj and everyone else working on this would work on a drama where the ML is raped and goes back to her rapist husband.

And if that doesn’t convince you…remember that Wahaj said in an IV that they tried to make Murtasim a logical character that would get as angry about something as a regular person would. That means, he would not jump to rape or even threaten rape b/c that’s not what a regular/logical person would do.

So, in conclusion the rape thing is not happening. But even editing a promo to imply that is just stupid and disgusting.
