Looks like Hania is playing the role of a lawyer in the new web series. Don't know when it is going to get released.

Farhan is the director’s best friend. The main reason why he could make changes to the script in the first place. The director will never let Farhan or his character Hamza be at the receiving end of severe criticism. They both are even more wary now after the abortion pills episode, where Hamza got bashed.

My theory is that originally Hala was supposed to confess to Hamza like we saw in the precap but then that scene was edited as we saw in the episode. They later shot and added the apartment scene to give Hamza a solid justification to be angry with Hala in the future without getting any backlash. And in that process they ruined Hala’s character arc. I guess being the show runner’s friend does have its advantages, along with being a male actor in a desi tv/film industry where most female actors barring a few don’t have much say.

Hey i do agree with most of your pov but i will slightly disagree as to Hania not having much say.Farhan obviously knows the director well due to which he got undue favors to redeem his character arch and it is actually natural that if you know someone influential in the production house then you are going to get some favors from them.Aso i dont think that other costars of the show are going to be that adjusting to reshoot only to justify Farhan aka Hamza’s character.

In case of Hania,well she is not someone who will take things just like that without giving her two cents.She is quite opinionated and obviously have a say in her character but in this one she couldnt brought much changes as it was her first time working with them.She is an established actress,if things were that bad she would rather walk away from the show than doing it.For example,Hania has great friendship with the producer Shazia,if she was doing their show then she will get favors naturally due to the friendship or even, if she was working with Badar,she could bring changes in her character as she has good relation with him.Having said that if she does another show with Qasim,she will also get favors as she has developed a friendly relation with him as well.

I feel so let down by this drama. I stopped watching Pakistani dramas a while back because they are so regressive. They start out well and for the first 3-5 episodes I’m like ‘wow, this seems so good’; then they completely derail and I abandon them. So frustrating. This one seemed different. Sure the storyline isn’t groundbreaking but the representation of the male lead WAS groundbreaking. For the first time we have a male character who seemingly doesn’t fall for the toxic mother in law’s schemes, who trusts his wife unequivocally, who encourages his wife to assert her independence and develop her confidence. Then it started derailing. The first sign of the script going downhill was Hamza admitting his mother is in the wrong but telling Hala that despite this he doesn’t want to hear about the wrong things she does. This is completely illogical. He’s essentially told her that even if his mother abuses her she should keep quiet because he can’t hear a negative word about his mother.

The second sign of the script derailing was Hamza going ballistic when Hala told him his mother gave her the pills, and then falling for Shajahan’s lies and actually having the audacity to accuse Hala of attempting to abort their baby. At this point I was done with the show.

Unlike most I actually understand Hala not telling Hamza about her past with Khurram. Hamza has shown her that when it comes to life-altering matters, if it’s Hala’s word against Shajahan’s he will believe his mother. If he can believe Hala tried to kill her own baby, why would Hala have any confidence that he’ll believe she does not have an ongoing relationship with Khurram or love him?

Hala is a uneducated girl, who from her tweens onwards has been socialised to believe that she is worth absolutely nothing. She has never in her life had any kind of a support system. The one person who has consistently stood by her is Dadi, and whilst Dadi has no issues with going head to head with Shajahan, the truth is she has no real power within the family. If Raees wants Hala out, Dadi will not be able to stop him.

Shajahan has also brainwashed Hala, from a young age, into thinking that no one will ever believe her. That everyone thinks she is a liar. Hamza has reinforced this by not only disbelieving Hala about the pills but then accusing her of attempting to kill the child.

I’m with Hala all the way. Yea she cries a lot, but her behaviour makes perfect sense to me from a psychological perspective.

While I agree with a lot of your points, I don't think Hamza can be completely blamed or Hala can be completely blameless when it comes to her not telling him about Khurram. He is not an angel or a saint. He is a human like us and is bound to make wrong decisions here and there. But he still stands by Hala, no matter what. Instead of sheltering her, he wants her to stand up for herself, be confident and never take beatings sitting down. And he is willing to solve any issues, any misunderstandings they have between them or otherwise. But Hala refuses to tell him the truth, especially when she knows that if Khurram or SJ tell him the distorted truth first, it's all over either way. By her taking the first step, there's a bigger chance that he won't be easily swayed by other's opinions and that he might even understand her situation (something she herself said in the last episode). So, her not telling him the truth, after making such high claims in front of SJ, is really frustrating.

And to play the devil's advocate here, I don't believe Hamza really accused Hala of trying to kill her own baby intentionally. The way he worded the sentence, it sounded like he's blaming her for taking tablets without knowing anything about them that could have resulted in an accidental abortion. While I am not blaming Hala or supporting Hamza's statement, I do find Hala foolish for believing SJ so easily, the same woman who had tortured her endlessly.

@red - I don't think that's always true. Hamza did believe Hala, without hesitation, when she denied knowing Khurram in front of everyone. He was willing to assume that his mom is crazy for accusing Hala but never suspected Hala. Yet the other concerned party is his own mother, and he hasn't seen the ugliest side of her. So he is allowed to believe her in some situations because maa toh maa hoti hai. There will always be some situations where he will believe his mom and some where he will believe his wife.

That said, I agree with you that Hala crying all the time is perfectly normal for someone who's as traumatized as she was. She has never had that support in her life before so she's afraid of saying the wrong thing that will crumble that. But as a viewer, I do wish we get to see more communication on Hala's side because that would solve majority of the unnecessary drama 😆

I hope they do get to act in another web series/drama though, only because I think they are very capable actors and need a better script that would bring out their potential as actors and highlight their beautiful on-screen chemistry 😆

Farhan and Hania are the main leads in the web series. They started shooting last year and I think makers are waiting for MH to end to release the series.

Farhan and Hania,both are in the webseries and its name is ‘Ruswaai’..Farhan is playing a victim and Hania a lawyer.It’s shooting has ended a year ago and yet to get released...
