Episode 22
I felt that the episode was good, not bad, yes it could be better but I will only talk about the key points of today's episode.
Starting with Mahi, I am glad and very glad that finally she herself confessed that her dreams, her thoughts and everything has Farhad and she feels guilty that she is not and cannot be even loyal to her 'true' mehram, on whose iddat she is punishing herself. I found the conversation with Rida symbolic, her dreaming of na 'mehram' Farhad and finding it wrong, only indicates that the entire iddat indeed is meant to be for the man and the only man she has been denying all this time. I do not know whether anyone of you have felt it but when Mahi started dreaming, it starts with the happy meetings, and every happy face of Farhad unless his curse filled with disgust, the sequence of the events in her dream only meant that she wants to drown in the memories of Farhad and those little moments with him but his curse is so big that it takes her to disbelief and delusion that it is only his curse which kept him in her thoughts, no darling, it is just more than the curse, accept it or not, if it is only guilt, then no way he would conquer her thoughts more than her trophy and dead husband.
Farhad, well, nothing much happened, but I liked how his abandonment of his individuality has played out, he is not in spiritual phase yet, no, no, people who are complaining that how did he become spiritual all of a sudden, no he did not, isn't it obvious? But is he on the verge of going that route? Yes, definitely. The way he is numb and deaf to the entire surrounding, it is not even trauma anymore, it is more like that solitude where you know that you cannot return back to your past and you do not even exist in your present, that is why the darvesh identified him as the successor, a successor because he has seen that this young lad is behaving like a blind man with eyes, a deaf man with ears, he literally has no desire left, and only people who have abandoned their own individuality needs a purpose at God's doors, Farhad choosing the shrine to stay like a dead body only means, he has abandoned everyone and everything but still not the belief in the supreme power may be. If this plays out well in the upcoming episodes it will be more clear, Farhad neither prayed at Taimoor's 40th death day, nor did he pray in the shrine, neither did he say he can pray, Farhad himself convinced us that he is not anything yet, the trigger is coming, it will take the last nail in the coffin, his worst night mare, his own curse haunting him and bringing him out of this state.
Coming to the most disturbing aspect of the show, glorifying begging for love, what the hell was Romana doing today? She literally said that 'I will be your naukrani', does she or for a matter of fact any one deserve to demean themselves so poorly just to get someone's reciprocation in a 'two-sided' relationship? When Farhad kept begging his love for Mahi, we thought it was his delusion, ego, and what not, but with the history repeating with Romana and justifying it because she is again from lower class, I am convinced that Hashim Nadeem thinks that people from lower class should not fall in love, and if they fall they shall beg, lose their spine, dignity and still ruin for the person who treat them like shit. Mahi treated Farhad like shit and he still kept begging till she called him shit on his face, and Sikandar is making history of being the worst character here, he wnats to have relationship with her, but makes her feel guilty if she wants his acceptance, and on top of that manipulates her by putting up a hypocrite dukhi face as if he is the only majboor insaan in this world, what the hell is this guy.
The next time Farhad-Roma converses, I really hope Farhad tells her that begging is the worst mistake he ever did in his life, I know he will not, and with Mahi's widowed self, it will only make him beg for her happiness some more, but both Mahi and Sikka can marry each other and treat their jagirdar asses with some izzat and power, these two are just two lame to be the reasons for two desirable human beings ruining themselves blindly, and worst is both Farhad and Romana are shown to be desirable for other people, and still they chose such useless people to cry for, yuck 🤢👎🏼
