DOTW#13 *Punishment Of Negative Characters In Pakistani Dramas* - Page 2

I hate that in almost all shows, in the last episode bad guy realizes his mistake.. If he is the hero or a good looking guy or main character that is. If he is ugly, side character, more often than not they get killed or jailed without any chance for regret or remorse.

Out and out pagalpan is the funniest outcome. Nobody goes mad like that... Even if they are guilty and are remorseful, they suffer slowly.. Like depression or something. That's more realistic. I feel this is the most difficult of all punishments, to not get forgiven by yoir loved ones and by yourself.

And more often than not, negative characters in parents generation usually get away unpunished. Like they will apologize in last 15mins and everyone will forgive them no matter what their crimes were. 🙄😁

Also, there is no punishment for collateral damages or actions which caused unintended hurt to others. Especially when done by leads. And even when they regret their actions, they regret what they caused to the lover/spouses and everybody who got hurt in the process can go to hell. 😂

Not to forget, they will show the side characters will make some small mistakes which makes them super worthy of a harsh punishment whereas the main lead can kill a village but yet redeem themselves by the end by mere apologies and regretting. For eg. Sikander's second wife in Kankar, Noor's character's in Gustakh Ishq, Taiyaba/Saira in Bashar Momin, etc

Daam, Kankar and Yeh Dil Mera are some of my all time favorite endings. I like the ones where forgiveness doesn't always equate to taking people back.

The easy way to end a drama is by killing the negative character in an accident, or just die without even explaining how that happened like : Emmad in Jalan, and Seher Khan in MeherPosh .😕 I liked the ending of Nazr E Bad because Azfu went through a gr8 suffer and died a miserable death .😊

People do get affected by circumstances but still trust me nobody changes overnight. Its a gradual change over time. And I agree every person has a shade of grey in them so I hate how dramas sometimes show characters as completely white or black. Itna bechara bhi koi nahi hota how helpless they are shown in dramas, sati savitri types lol and what message are they even giving to audience? To not speak up for your rights? Even Islam is against bearing torture silently.

Did azfu die in NEB? I dont remember. I hate negative characters dying. 🤢 Khaani ending was the best, because even after Hadi redeemed himself, they didnt kill him. They made him suffer for the rest of his life without Khaani.

Yes. I mean Zainab.. I was half sleeping while writing my reply. Azfu suffered a lot, he went to jail, became very ill , and felt lots of pain before he died. His whole family were punished too.😊

usually black magic shows have the character die in the end as they suffer so much they want to die.. even in mehboob aap k qadmon main the girl dies in the end

In Pak dramas they just focus on one punishment for villains that is death. Koi inhy batao there can be much more painful than death.

I think best was Khani and kankar's ending.

I feel for sake of audience the punishment should happen on earth itself, but the person who suffered should get peace of mind. I don't mind if person forgives their mujrim as it is better for their own peace of mind but they should not just forget everything and become all happy happy.

Yarriyaan mein it was most annoying to see zubi gets all goodie goodie with pati parmeshwar🤢.

I feel jail is something much less availed by makers,it gives such good justice in end, instead of killing person off....
