Hmm. I'm happy that story progressed within the first episode. It was quite evident from the ost n title of the show itself that he will not like her at all. And he has relationship with that girl already? If he himself doesn't wanna get married to her then why her mom needs to plot? I mean uski maa toh kichu yeh shadi hone nahi degi and Asher bhi same page pe hai. Phir promo mein mom ko kya plot karte huye dikhaya?

And Awida, I think both are first cousins. Ranna's mom and Asher's dad are brother sister. As Asher calls her mom Mumani and Rabab calls his mom as phupo. But then Rabab's mom why said that iss khandan k mard hai hi Aise types. Confusing relations again like sun yara! Lol

Hey, is anyone besides me watching this drama? I want the main leads, Asher and Rubab, to finally be together in the end. But I don't know that it's going that way.

Anyone have any guesses as to how this story ends or will likely end?

I'm kinda at a loss and would love someone to give their best educated guess based on their experience of similar Pakistani drama serials.

So, I went back and watched promos of this series. And I think I might have figured out some the plot and the ending (for those wondering about both which I would like to share herein) based on my best educated guess. It looks like the following is going to happen:

1) Rubab loses hope of ever Asher returning her feelings and so burns everything she has which she kept since her crush to remind her of him. During the engagement period, Asher figures out that while he likes Zoya (his fiancee), he is in love with/falling for Rubab and only kept her at a distance because he didn't like her mother and because of the negative association he has with her mother. He confesses his feelings to Rubab, when, her mother, learning of this situation, hatches a plot to keep Rubab at a distance from him, which involves a huge deception.

2) After the illusion of Asher's character, as etched in Rubab's mind, is shattered (due to the decepion), Rubab decides to obey her mother and marry Shahan. In the meantime, Asher marries Zoya after rejection from Rubab. And Rubab marries Shahan. However, both of their marriages are unhappy, Asher's because Zoya can't help but feel that he doesn't love her; and Rubab's marriage is unhappy because her husband Shahan is of bad character and doesn't even attempt to love her.

3) However, through chance, Rubab learns of her mother's deception and then confronts her. In the meantime, Zoya finally divorces Asher. And Rubab separates and divorces from Shahan and doesn't keep in touch with her mother.

4) After a time, when Rubab's mother learns of the extent of her own foolishness in regards to her own marriage with Rubab's father, she decides she is sorry about interfering in two people's (Rubab and Asher's) lives who could have been happy were it not for her own deep unhappiness and interference based on what she always falsely believed was a huge betrayal from Rubab's father when she now realizes it was her fault equally for not trusting him as her husband.

5) So, Rubab's mother decides to ask forgiveness from Asher and also then Rubab and this time works to reunite the two, which they do in the end. And then Rubab's father also asks to reunite with Rubab's mother, a matter to which she acquiesces now that she realizes that love is strength and not weakness.
