For a often-told story, this show felt very interesting on binge watching. But I wish the makers would explain why Shafaq feels this aching love for Anji. Is she hero worshipping her? Did she want a sister in her life? Why? I can understand feeling this overwhelming infatuation for a new friend, esp for an introverted person like Shafaq, but with time and esp with the wise counsel of loving family members, one can easily overcome such slight friendships. But Shafaq seems stuck and I would really like to know why? What did she lack in the seemingly perfect relationships that drew her to Anji and with such fervor that she is willing to disregard the kind advice of her brother, sister=in=law and parents? Not answering that vital question leaves a hug gap in Shafaq's characterization and makes me not feel much for her pain unlike her sister-in-law's pain (that felt more identifiable because it was reasonably presented). At this point, Shafaq just seems like a whiny, petulant girl with no real focus in her life.

@JNam agree with you! Shafaq's obsession doesn't fit well, especially given the fact that she has loving parents, sibling and now even more loving husband. During the college days she was spending a lot of time with Anji so it slightly made sense for her to go all gaga about anji..but now when anji doesn't even pay much attention to her and they haven't been in touch that much, why is her obsession still the same? still acting like a high school kid :S

Is there a thread for the show Seep on TV One. I binge watched it (still have a soft spot for Shehroz). Apparently actress Meera's sister stars as the female lead. So far, I hve liked the show and the leads. Shehroz has a boyish charm which, if used well, does make for great television. I also like how easily he can speak the poetic Urdu dialogue (much like Umazir Jaswal). Highly recommended. I also watched the show as I am fond of quite a bit of the supporting players although Usman Peerzada, as someone pointed out, seems to be playing these one-note, autocratic patriarchs far too much. His television oeurvre needs a change.
PS: I really liked IQra and Shehroz in Deewana. I had hoped they'd reunite for a better, more romantic tale. In fact, part of me feels that my anger at QUrban would have been less intense had Shehzad's part been played by Shehroz. :-)

So you are Sheroz' fan.😲 I like how you support some newcomers too like Shahista and Usman. I would've loved to do the same had I accepted Shehroz. 😳 I watch Zard Zamano Ka Sawera , coz I loved the innocence its lead couple have , but watching it made me disappointed. there's something bad about the direction, edittinng, supporting cast and leads too. I still bingwatch to see the scenes which attracted me in the promo . today's epi was good in the end. but still think Shehroz can't act .😳

Fair point. I am not a fan per se but I did really like him with Iqra in Deewana (probably th eonly show of his that I watched from start to finish). They were incredibly cute together. But I do think in certain roles with a good director, he can work well. Same for his cousin Shehzad. I too liked the lead couple in ZZKS but the show, I agree, was middling at best. But you might like Seep better. It even has Imran Bukhari, and the lead actress is quite refreshingly cute (I have no idea about her older, more famous sibling, Meera although she seems to be the butt of a lot of jokes, some fun and some unfair ones like those about her language abilities). Shehroz is well used, so far, in Seep, and the supporting cast is really doing quite well (Imran Bukhari, Sana Fakhar, Shamil Khan, and the second wife of Rania's ex-husband in Aik Thi Rania, who is doing quite a good job with her part). I had zero expectations and that did influence my viewing, I think. With Qurban, Mann Mayal, Deewana, my expectations were sky high and maybe that is why they were unmet :-).
