I feel like if they had spent more time on correlating the reveal with actual character development, instead of setting up the next generation and not dragged it out as long, I would have been less critical. I never found Moshin as a flawless character, but I really liked him with Aina. She brings out a better person in him. He was rash under pressure, but he wasn't unyielding.

I agree with you 100%! I have forgiven Mohsin was so many things but this? Pulling a gun on someone and seriously threatening to kill Maaz if he doesn't divorce Rania. I was shocked.

Mohsin is the most flawed character in this show like you said, tragically flawed. Thing is he doesn't even comprehend how flawed he is. He introspects sometimes but then seemingly forgets. I am not always on board with him. At the same time, it is his flawed personality which makes him an excellent character and person to dissect.

Can someone make me understand as to why Mohsin is worshipped on this thread? Other than him(actually the credit goes to the actor here) having a crackling chemistry with Aina, what are his attributes? I only see him as the worst human being ( the way he doubted and treated Aina in the beginning of their marriage), worst husband( needless to say..), worst father(never cared for his children's wishes and desires) , and just about worst everything else...Just to sum it up, he is the worst character of the entire drama on par with Aina's first husband...

I agree with you and to an extent, i liked him because i expected him to get better with time and due to Aina's influence. But, as indicated in the early posts after the leap, his development did not occur as expected. My hope is now for Imran's return to fix these flaws if at all possible. But yes, his crackling chemistry with Aina goes a large way in blinding me to his flaws. And seeing him alonside Faraz, that paragon of virtue and good cheer, doesnot help his cause!

Firstly NO character is "worshipped" here

We agree with the character when he or she does something good

We bash the character when they r wrong

We don't call Mohsin the "WORST " as we can DO RELATE TO HIM...there is a Mohsin in every alley of the Asian subcontinent and we know how such people are not bad at heart neither ill wisher of anyone nor harm anyone just for their pleasure

But yes they r bad tempered which sometimes make them.villain

Being authoritative and conservative doesn't make one a "WORST" person

And how is he a worst hubby...on the contrary he changed himself to b a good hubby for AYNA

Coming to his kids...agree he went over board with TAABI studies but he realized later n admitted he was wrong n now hv given it on taabi to decide for Affaq without any pressure ...

Also all he wanted to know is who are the real parents of his son in law maaz ...is that too much he was asking for...and given faraaz n AYNA were so silent abt it made him doubt maaz true identity even more ...n hence the outburst

It's not As if we support Mohsin just coz he is a handsome actor n has CHEMISTRY with NAVIN

That way we wud hv supported Malik mansoor of SAYE E DEEWAR as well where he was literally the WORST ...

And he has always shown in different ways how much he cares n loved his kids

I think taking a long leap and inserting kids separate track explain Mohsin's slow development. If the makers had focused on Fab four instead of showing kids love stories, they would have more time to spent on Mona's development.

Although, Mohsin has shown development for Aaina post leap. In comparison to Nadia, he listens to Aaina n respects her opinion, looks out for her aporoval but that is not enough. He should grow as a person. On the other hand, they are trying to depict that deep down a person remains the same. I mean your core beliefs, inherent traits don't change drastically unless some life threatening events occur which shake your core beliefs.

I think they r saving the real development for climax, post Imran's entry when Mohsin feels threatened of

Losing Aaina. Till now he has taken her for granted, grew complacent.

Totally agree with you @Abby. I can relate to Mohsin's character because many of men in my country are like this. Yet we love and respect them. They are family men. strong in taking desicions, and very protective of the women in their families.

Also Mohsin is justified in his actions after knowing that he was cheated by his relatives. First his sister hid the truth of her son. next his brother hid the truth of his adopted son. Don't you know that adoption is forbidden in Islam. Allah says in Quraan : "Name them after their father's" means that no nasab change is allowed . so he has the right to cancel his daughter's marriage because he is her wali. 😊

Most of the people do love mohsin as a character but in no way is he worshipped 😆

In fact, it's quite the opposite, we love to hate him when he does something irrational and illogical. Like the scene today.

Mohsin was completely irrational and his thought proccess was too..We understood his predicament, but what he did was wrong...there is no shielding or protecting him. neither is it justified. Understood yes. Justified. No.

What I think you are confusing as praise is the understanding. and realizing that Yes-Mohsin was wrong. but Yo. why was he wrong. ? To question his reasoning doesn't mean denial of his flaws..

Loving the character doesn't mean you don't explore the flaws the character has...that's the difference between a fanatic and a critical fan.

concerning praise...You may have been confused between mohsin and emaad.

the praise in the thread was for Emaad. he really really showed off today as an actor.

----in fact if you keep up with the thread(s) you'll know that we say shit about Mohsin as much as we praise him 😆

and it all stems from the fact that many of my fellow members have said. Intially when the show started. to very recently Mohsin grew as a character...there was development.. and to be completely honest. God knows where that development went 😆 but it was there...

I don't want you to feel like you are being "bashed" because of this,

rather I have an objection with you saying "worshipped" because I myself have commented upon the same thing multiple times and very recently about this too.

INFACT, IF you look on page 5 of just this thread, I myself have said,

".I know we all love mohsin and all but seriously, if this was any other, any other show Mohsin is a terrible father and husband-... although one can argue, he still is 🤓 but all the other characters know his children more than he himself knows Raania and Taabi, so this "mere bachay, mere bachay Jaap is annoying even for mohsin himself. "

I said the same thing in more detail after yesterday's episode as well...so. while your opinion is completely okay.--I may not agree with it, but that doesn't take away your right to said opinion--- please don't accuse us of being biased.

It actually makes me feel weird saying this but Affaq has shown more growth 30-47 epis than Mohsin who keeps oscillating somewhere between regression n some positive movement so much that I as a viewer dont even believe his precap breakdown anymore :(

I absolutely hated the gun pointing n shooting I thought Mohsin had better sense and polish! Taabi with less exposure and experience is showing better maturity than mohsin did in all of 47 epis!
