This is such a weird thing to say tbh. What was maya thinking? In a way she is proving all those right who made fun of mannu's crying in mm so that it got rating.

Ok I read complete interview. She blames audience for loving crying woman to whom they give ratings. But maya was completely wrong about Trps here...Sanam was getting ratings when Aan was not crying, even Haseeb shared them on his fb...she didnt see those?Yeah she got amazing response for 2nd last episode when Amma died but I don't know about that episode's rating.

I m very disappointed in Maya for justifying sanam ratings with crying

Mann mayal also got ratings NOT for her crying but coz people wanted to see what happens to mannu SD mikhail n jeena

Doesn't matter how much I HATE gohar n how much others hate jeena but I must say both these characters added the much needed masala in the 2nd half of the show

Gohar n ayesha was very entertaining which sarah n farhan cudnt do

Now even audience r tired of the heroine crying all the time

Yes it's STILL true that family oriented shows churn trps trips and the initial epis of sanam used to get quite high trps coz people loved watching amma Aan n harib scenes and ayla harib fights n SHEHROZ AYLA cbemistry was an added attraction but all that got washed away after Sarah and Farhan entry ...the acting was good of both but the tracks just didn't click the way the first 10 epis was so refreshing and in those 10 epis AAN did not cry

The crying started after epi 10 n the ratings started dropping as well

And again it wasn't for crying or not crying

It was how the spark the show had was kinda missing with Sarah entry

Boxofficedetail finally tweeted about Balu mahi and information is same as hip article reported, jolly 2 is leading followed by Bm. Though they haven't reported the proper collections of films.

Domestic: 2 crore

Overseas: 2 crore

Total: 4 crore

I got these figures from Facebook - they are unofficial. It's surprising no one is reporting official figures. I mean the only time people don't report figures is when they are too embarrassingly low.

Box office detail has a history of past (legal) issue with the distributor of Balu Mahi so they won't report any figures for now. (Again, got this info from Facebook)

HIP reported that BM had to be edited after its initial theatrical release to make the story ~10 minutes shorter and flow better. I can't imagine the editors would've done that if it had a good box office run.
