Fara's dad got married to her mom against the wishes of Fara's grand dad (agha jaan), Agha Jaan doesn't accept Fara's mom and breaks all relation with his son and bahu. After many years when Fara's uncle(Wali's father) dies Agha Jaan calls his son to come back to Peshawar. Fara's dad feels guilty of not honouring Agha Jaan before and decides that his daughter will get married according to Agha Jaan's wish, so Fara and Wali have their Nikkah when she is 18 and Wali is 22. Fara's mom is unhappy with all this and she starts living separately from her husband. Soon after Fara's dad also dies, Fara's mom and Fara clearly tell Agha Jaan that they don't accept this relation and Fara files for divorce.
Wali is not ready to divorce her and she has been trying to get divorce for the past six years, also now Fara is a doctor and interested in this other cousin Moiz. One day Wali calls her to meet him and tells her that he is ready to divorce her under one condition that she will come and live with Agha Jaan for 3 months as he is very ill. She accepts this condition and moves to Peshawar and this is where things begin to change for Fara
