But will it be behind? As on GEO and ARY in UK they air dramas a few months after Pakistan.

I think it's going to run simultaneously with Pakistan, because that's how the one in the USA runs.

EDIT: Actually the one in the USA is behind Pakistan, they're still showing Kankar (unless that's a repeat). So it will be behind, which I don't really mind.

They've even got a website up for it now:

Wasn't HUM TV specifically made to appeal to the US market? That's what I heard a while back.

It used to run on Dish Network..then they randomly took it off. There was this huge drama..because viewers asked Dish Network why it went off air and they said because Humtv wanted more money. I remember I called as well and that's what the rep told me also. 😆 It was really annoying..but then Humtv partnered with Jadootv (I'm not sure if you guys have that there?) it's this stupid streaming box which you connect to the internet and get channels...but Dish Network was the primary source for Humtv..none of the other major satellites show Hum. You can still get it on jadootv etc but those aren't really legal and since you don't pay on a monthly basis (it's one time payment) you may just lose all your channels one day.

For us, the primetime shows were always according to Pakistan...whatever shows were airing there, used to air here.

@ Amara: I'm not sure if it was specifically made for the USA viewers..but I believe it took some time for Humtv to air in USA..it wasn't right off the bat. However, Humtv's shows are the most viewed abroad so I think the intent may have been for Pakistanis outside.

Star, didn't the shows have a different scedule than Pakistan? During the Humsafar or SeZ days when it used to come on Friday, someone in USA watched it on Saturday. Or maybe that was a different country or a repeat telecast. :S

Shows are usually delayed in the UK so ppl don't have option but to watch it on line

No I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that. I remember I used to watch Shehr e Zaat every Friday at 8 pm on television and it wasn't behind or anything. Geo and ARY are behind..but Humtv was on track.

Is it going to be a free channel or do you have to pay for it? I still have the Sky Box and my dad watches Geo News on it so the free channels are on it.
