I guess the writer thinks that even without consummation you have to go through iddat, I thought the same too.

Yeah, there's no iddat unless there's consummation. It's quite a clear concept.

That means if a woman is above 50 and her husband dies, then she doesnt have to do iddat either?!

Because she cant get pregnant

VJ Madiha Imam. I believe "Ishq Mein Tere" is the only other show she has been in.
