Cheh... missing for few days, and the thread reaches to 100 pages? Wow Congrats ladies and a special mention is a must to Kavi and Supree (of course not forgetting others), for all the lovely recipes and pics posted.

Kavi you forgot to mention to Ambi about our country's sambal. Ambi, our sambal comes in varies. But the main ingredient can be either dried chilli, or bird's eye chilli or fresh red chilli. Malays will cook flavour this up with shrimp paste. Different race here will cook it in different style.

Sometimes, the way the sambal is made, it can be eaten raw.

In our home, the favourite dish are idiyapam, puttu and thosai. Usually the left overs are eaten as "Fried" style as in the uppuma style I gave a couple of weeks ago.

So any recipe with idiyapam leftovers is welcome.

No problem about thosai, as we continue eating the same way and now my nephews love it as we give them either with egg, or butter and sugar and now the latest edition is cheese. 😃

Kadambari, Like I have said it in my blog, anything in moderation is the secret for good health. "Kalakandh is very rich calories. Addition of almonds and pistachio makes it rich and delicious. Anything eaten in moderation is the secret of good health. So do not worry about the calories when you are enjoying delicacies like these..."

Enjoy it when you are young 😊, you can burn the calories easily with a long walk :-)

For some reason's I like making burfi's than halwa. It is easy to serve and can be eaten in moderation :-) I will post carrot burfi pretty soon. I am sure someone must have posted it already. But I will do my version. Hope folks won't mind😉

Thanks Meli. To make it more simple and easy, ricotta cheese can be used in place of panner. Once you eat kalakandh, not this but any kind made in India, you cannot stop eating sweets made out of paneer. I am not a big sweet/dessert person. But I like kalakandh very much.
