4. What is the most unusual thing that has happened when you were traveling??

MMM nothing that I can recall - I do not know if I can call this
unusual - Once I was on my way to the US. A South Korean couple
joined us from Tokyo - hubby had an infant 3 months old and the wife
had a baby of6 months old - both the kids had been adopted by
Americans and this couple are part of CRY - carrying the babies to their
adopted parents - the wife was smart to care for the 6 months old baby -
he was book perfect. The infant cried non stop - Northwest has those
hostesses who always have their noses up in the sky - they refused to
help, can not blame them totally as this couple did not speak a word of
English. I was very tired and was lucky to find a 4 seater empty - the
baby's cry was heart wrenching - I snatched the baby, put him on my tummy,
hugged him tight and sang some Tamil lullaby...he slept really like a baby -
for 3 hours - and now comes the feeding ritual - that guy carried milk
for the baby which smelt like pure garlic juice - by then that guy was
ready to fall at my feet and listen to anything I say - well, we did
have communication problems - some bharatha naatiyam happened - all in
the aisle of NW aircraft - well, the 12 hours flight at last ended - Got
down at Detroit and the guy was in tears - I am not sure where those
babies are now - I am sure that they would be talking American English
by now ..... but his face is still green in my memory...and that couple??
how did they survive in the US????

Exactly my sentiments - remember once I walked out of the exam hall (class
exam) after finishing just half the paper- wrote for 50 marks - my dad was
curious and asked for the reason - smart Roja : " 50% is also pass mark!!
why bother to sit through??" My dad was stunned for a moment - it took him
almost a month to explain the importance of grades!!!
