priyani shd be selected(himesh gharana)

priyani of himesh gharana sang well,yet they chose that girl from delhi, Vineeta,who made mistakes and cried.Priyani sang well but injustice was done to her.

what do u guys say??

i think it was unfair to let vineeta sing again...she stopped once and restarted. If anyone of you have been following this show regularly, Rajiv from Chamba (aadesh's gharana) was not allowed to sing again and eliminated in one of the selection rounds. He came back as a stand by.
I think the rules should have been same for everyone.

But i don't agree that priyani sang well...i think her singing was very restrained....the throw of the voice was also not good...it was no doubt a difficult song but somehow i felt that this was not her kind of song...she has done much better in the earlier rounds.

If we consider the singing, i think vineeta sang better but only in her second chance which she should not have been given.

I think a second chance WITHIN a performance should be given if it is not too deep into the song. If it is too far in, then the right to a second chance should be eliminated. She only stopped in the first few seconds.

Rajiv and Vineeta, in my humble opinion, should not be compared. Rajiv forgot his song. Forgetting one's song is even worse than asking for a retake. Rajiv really really must have had tons of popular influence in order to become a stand-by. I think making Vishwas a stand-by was the most correct thing to do. Vishwas is a great singer and he did justice to both songs he sang (Hum Tum and Aaja Meri Jaan).

Priyani didn't match up to Vineeta's standards. I think the decision was correct.

The only decision in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 that I challenge is the elimination of Vishwanath, Bhumik, Anandita, and Aishwarya as well as the inclusion of Abhijit (though his Sun Ri Sakhi was great), and Joyeeta (I wasn't too mesmorized by her singing to be honest).

I still differ as i think that the singers should not be given this chance and if they are given...it should be given to all irrespective of the reason why someone stopped. In singing, words are important but aren't sur and taal more important! I atleast feel this way.

On singing, yes priyani was not better than vineeta.

I agree with you on Aishwarya as i thought paresh was not that good....Abhijeet- i am not sure...but when you are calling the judges for two days....the first day's performance will certainly be considered. Abhijeet is no doubt a better singer than paresh and he should be in. I am also not very impressed by joyeeta and i think she should have been eliminated.
