In response to the article Paisa Vasool that appeared in the Mumbai Mirror on July 14, actor Kushal Punjabi has clarified:"I'd like to state that I've been paid for all the episodes telecast till the month of March as per the initial contract signed in September 2004. The differences between me and Rose Audio Visuals arose when they asked me to consider 'settlement' for the episodes telecast in the months of April and May 2005 as per the old contract. This is especially distressing as a new contract was signed in April '05 which renders the previous contract null and void. I'm trying to amicably resolve the matter." He further adds, "I gave my best to the show because it was special for me. I've had great fun working with the entire unit. Shristi is a professional. I wish this incident had never happened between us." About himself, Kushal says, "I'm great to work with. I come on time, do my work without throwing my weight around. I'm certainly not the type to create any difficulties for my producers."Shristi Behl was unavailable for comment.
